Anti-Nazism Resolution Passes In UNGA, Despite US And Ukraine Opposition

On November 7th, the third committee of the UN General Assembly on social and humanitarian issues adopted by majority vote the Russian draft resolution on the fight against the glorification of Nazism.

There were only two countries that voted against – the United States and Ukraine, and the resolution still passed.

The resolution is titled “Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobiea and related intolerance”.

121 states voted in support, 55 abstained and 2 were against.

The resolution recommends that countries take appropriate specific measures, “including in the legislative field and in the field of education, in accordance with their international human rights obligations, in order to prevent the review of the outcome of World War II and the denial of crimes against humanity and war crimes committed During the Second World War.”

The authors of the document strongly condemn the incidents related to the heroization and propaganda of Nazism, and urge states to eliminate all forms of racial discrimination by all appropriate means, including, if circumstances so require, legislatively.

As Rinat Alyautdinov, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Department for Humanitarian Cooperation and Human Rights, told reporters, one of the delegations that voted against the Russian resolution stated during consultations in the preparation of this document that “no one should ever be blamed for cooperation with Nazism.”

“In my opinion, there is nothing more to comment on,” he said.

Answering a clarifying question whether this was the Ukrainian delegation, the diplomat said: “It’s easy to guess.”

At the initiative of Russia and a number of states, including OSCE participants, the UN General Assembly annually adopts a resolution against the glorification of Nazism. Moreover, traditionally only Kiev and Washington oppose this document.

It is more than likely that the US opposes the resolution mostly due to the fact that over the past years, it has openly backed Nazi and neo-Naiz organizations in Eastern Europe, including the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Why Ukraine opposes such a document is clear to see. Its Prime Minister attends concerts of Neo-Nazis and holds speeches telling them how appreciated they are.

It is acknowledged even by its “true ally” the US as the Nazi hub of the world. The Ukrainian government also wouldn’t want Nazis and “volunteer battalion” members, who are predominantly Nazis to protest in Kiev because their representatives at the UN supported a resolution against their core ideology.

Yet another loss for US nazis. The world said no to US nazism.

Why do you think? Who do you think is supporting the anti-Russian elements within Ukraine and how are they related to the Nazi ideology? You know it is Uncle Sam and his greenbacks..

If this doesn’t open the eyes of people to see how local politics are going in the west to appease these now main stream groups I don’t know what will. Soon these parties will hold major power - and I feel Russia and China could be the bull work against holding them back.

That is true but the Chinese and Russians have their own designs.

For sure no one is as brazen as the united states when it comes to supporting "terrorist" groups. The thing is that the US wants to rule the world by spreading chaos and then managing the chaos. These groups gain legitimacy through that process and then become part of the political process in the country.

For the longest time, Ukraine was a buffer state between western and eastern Europe but after the success in Libya, and Iraq. Obama and crooked Hillary thought he would try his hand in Ukraine. Both the democrats and republicans flew to Ukraine and started to support the "resistance" but in reality, these were criminal elements that wanted to subjugate ethnic Russians and sever political ties with Russia in general.

55 countries abstained. Essentially, a soft node to Nazism.

But again, as the Victors of WW-2, it was the US and the West and the Russians who told the rest of the world how to define Nazis and who the Nazis were, meaning they imposed the definition and the perception of what nazis were on the rest of world. So where is the actual Truth about the Nazis? And what gives the Russians the right to re-define it?

The UN is a douche organisation and does not work for ordinary Humanity or their interests. The recent history of UN is a clear example of its incompetence.

Yes I know Hitler doesn't have remains to roll with.

Dude America will never be nazi at home but they will not mind supporting Nazi in your backyard. Everyone that voted trump was not a racist. People outside of the United States don't understand that. Trump is a reaction to internal politics in the US. It is not all about race and it's definitely not about Nazism.
Nazi is just a label. It is the ideology that the world should fear and unfortunately, the Ideology is very much still alive all over the world. Two big examples are the Jews themselves and the Hindus in India.

What do you think the "refugee" crisis was designed to do in Europe? People that run the world are much smarter than you and I and they think 20-30 years ahead. Right now the public opinion is being more and more polarized. It is only a matter of time before the pipe will burst and some crazy government will come into power.

lol. They definitely are smarter than the average person. Their ability to plan and execute their plans is far better than the average person. Tactics can be understood but you also need the ability to execute the tactics and thats where superior intelligence comes into play.

Look up how these think tanks recruit. Better yet, look at how the top universities recruit individuals from all over the world and then brainwash them into a certain type of ideology.

I used to think that shit is by chance but there is a design behind it. All countries that have been regime changed in recent years have puppet leaders that were educated somewhere in the west. These "leaders" were educated in the west and

It is a worrying sign that almost all EU countries abstained rather than voting in favor of this resolution against racist organizations and ideologies.

It's not US and Russia who defined Nazism but the Nazis themselves. Refer to all the white papers they put out detailing their ideology with regards to the "Master Aryan race".
