Haluk Bayraktar announced that the first export contract of Baykar AKINCI UCAV was signed. The country name is not known yet. Deliveries will begin in 2023.

The PD-170 is one of the best engines in its class in terms of fuel economy and mid-high-altitude continuous power output. It will improve the payload and airborne of drones by over 10%.

Unlike the PD-170, the PD-222 will be a turbodiesel engine which maximum take-off power output is the main design criterion. For this reason, PD-222 is expected to be used in ship-based drones.
