At one point in time, in not a very far future, Pakistan will have to take on the Taliban and it’s elements.

It's not about commitment, they are physically unable to do anything about it,

Their will always be chaos from afghans that's in their nature and it will have to be dealt with on a continuous basis


But the alternative of a afghan Republic, state and anti Pakistan NDS along side USA, NATO and India was a major strategic threat

Pakistan managed to neutralise multiple enemies and neuter India at the same time China was pushing on the LAC


This chaos from Afghanistan is a expected fall out which will be dealt with for years, but not a massive strategic threat to us like the situation before
