Ah, Timothy Heath, another Rand Corp fascist. Calling JF-17 Thunder "an aircraft ideal choice for developing countries that want to bomb their own people." Typical Zionist western slave mindset, devoid of real intellect, character or integrity. They look down upon anyone not Western or in submission to them, as Third World crap. That arrogance is reminiscent of Pharaohs and Iblees murdood.
Of course people have their prejudices and biases, but he isn’t entirely wrong in his analysis. So far JF -17 is used/owned by 3 countries which are using it inside their own country.

JF-17 block I and II are mediocre jets compared to what is available in the market.

The job of enemy is to hurt you.

Question remains, what are we (as Pakistanis) doing to retaliate? Have we done introspection? Have we fixed mess in our country? Look at the streets of Israel and how they keep stolen-land from Palestinians.

Good question, but I ask, with what yard stick does a Pakistani measure progress? Because if it is the Western yard stick, then we are most certainly going in the wrong direction. For the West is been built on the blood and bones of other nations and it is only the Western so-called civilization that has sought to impose itself upon others and forced other nations to become like the West.

As for the illegal and illegitimate state of Israel, well it's streets are clean and the country looks to be on stable footing because it has "unconditional support" both financially and militarily, from the West. $3 billion yearly military aid from America, the latest and cutting edge military tech and weapons to Israel. Unparalleled support from the collective Western civilization, is unprecedented in history. Particularly when it is the West that has been the global hegemon, that makes a comparison between israel and Pakistan, a nonstarter since no one in their right mind could possibly compare one with the other.

At present, Pakistan is going through "the" critical moment in history, where it's very basis of existence is at stake like never before. No stone of wickedness and immorality has been left unturned, and the wicked are being unmasked on an unprecedented scale.

So the question which arises, is what will the People of Pakistan do as the heavens unmask and expose the wicked who seek power, wealth and status at the expense of the People of Pakistan.

It all hinges on what the People of Pakistan decide to do .... for if Pakistan seek out and stand firm for the Truth, then what they will achieve is 220 million Pakistanis, their weight in Gold! For one cannot put a price on Unity, nor can one quantify the enormity of Faith in Allah and if the latter is achieved by Pakistanis, then Unity and Discipline will follow like a river flows into the sea.

well very summed up

Pakistan's future remains with the East and it's neighbor countries.

Russian & Iranian oil/gas has to be imported on emergency basis, and fast-track trade projects with China.

Lastly: Only way out is MERIT & Justice

Pakistan must also explain to the world that we have lost enough people, reserves fighting external wars. We need real think tanks who define roadmap, strategies. Not nepotism kids aka self-proclaimed 'OSINT specialists'. A 20-30 years policy must be defined.

And what is available on the market? Typhoons, Rafales, Gripens, Lightning lls that cost $90 million or more per unit? So in essence one has to follow the doctrine that in order to be superior militarily, one has to be rich? Isn't that the same concept propogated by the West when it comes progress and life standards?

I don't buy that nonsense and what more, history bares witness that money does not equate to military superiority. Vietnam kicked the snot outta the anglo-saxon military machine despite not having military superiority.

Turkish bayrakhtar drones became a huge success in Azerbaijan, not because they are a game changing weapon. Where bayrakhtar was a super weapon in Azerbaijan, proved otherwise less than mediocre in Ukraine. F-117 Nighthawk and F-16 was shot down by Serbia, who was less capable militarily to US-NATO. Afghans defeated the collective West, 20 years of military occupation and war, having spent around $1.7 trillion and the Afghan Mujahiddin didn't even have an air force.

So I call Timothy Heath for what he really is ... a neo-colonialist who serves his Zionist Masters, under the payroll in the Rand Corp, an organization that is just a mouthpiece of the Zionist-Western hegemon.

I'm definitely putting that as my signature.

That was the best summary of the situation, that I have ever heard

These Jets cost $90 million for you, not for the country manufacturing it. Regardless of their cost, they weren’t designed to be cheap and a mediocre jet from the Getgo. They were designed to win air battles.

History bares witness money buys superior weapons and Vietnam, Serbia and Afghanistan were utterly helpless whiled getting pummeled by the US, so helpless that they have to dig their own graves or hide in caves.

Mass produce this and sell it to as many developing countries.
They will sell all the ins and out of weapons system to other adversaries, because they are poor and weak and most probably corrupt. Now JF-17 will be a useless duck for its largest operator.

It is incumbent upon us, as Muslims, as Pakistanis, to analyze what we are confronted with as a nation. Both internally and externally.

Truly, that's probably why the Afghans while hiding from US/NATO in caves, when they popped out, by some miracle, they found $85 billion worth of military hardware!!!! How dare the Afghans hide in their caves or dig their own graves!!!

If $90 million per aircraft cost is for the purchaser, then why were the french so desperate to sell Rafales? Dunno if you followed the military news in the last 20 years, but they (french/brits) were at each other's throats trying to sell typhoons and rafales to the Middle East and India.

And what about F-22 Raptor? At one point the aircraft costed $200 million per unit!!! And the serviceability of the aircraft was astronomical, to the extent that they're now going to retire the aircraft in the next few years.

Sorry my friend, but that logic of expensive equipment is utter nonsense. Nazi Germany had superior tanks and were the first ones to field a jet engine fighter, yet they got pummelled by the Soviets.

There are plenty of F-5E, Mig-21 of the developing countries needed to be replaced. I don't think you can't expect EF2000 or Rafale or even F-16V to replace it since the cost is a big issue for them.

JF-17 Blk 1,2,3 not matter what is still better than those F-5 and Mig-21 currently in service.

Too many strings attached with Western weapons. They use spare parts to control foreign policy of the buying country. Developing countries must buy non-Western weapons.

did you even read that source?

"The aircraft does not even have an effective beyond-visual-range (BVR) missile or airborne interception radar."

the source says no BVR, well okay. but it also says no airborne interception radar which is literal BS, since that would mean the jf-17 is literally incapable of air to air combat.

then it says "the European Union imposed sanctions against the Myanmar military"... "The trade embargo also makes it impossible for the Myanmar military regime to directly buy missiles and bombs for its JF-17s."
what? since when does eu sanctions prevent china from sending missiles

also your source is
"The Irrawaddy was founded in 1993 by a group of Burmese journalists living in exile in Thailand"

literally anti-government exiles in another country, citing completely unnamed/unverifiable sources for its news.
