A huge recruitment for Benny Landa. Landa Digital Printing, which develops and manufactures nanoparticles, announced the completion of a $ 300 million round of financing at a company value of $ 1.8 billion.

The private placement was led by private investment firm SKion GmbH of Germany, which was joined by Altana Chemicals, which invested a few years ago in the company and in February 2017 purchased the metal printing technology developed by Landa Laboratories. The funds will be used to expand the company's infrastructure and production capabilities, as well as research and development and market development, the company said.

"My investment reflects my belief in the technological potential of Landa Digital Printing, and together we can expand demand in the digital printing solutions market," said Susanna Klatan, who heads SKion and Atlanta, and has for several years been familiar with Landa's printing empire. "I expect to be part of this new chapter of the history of the printing industry, which is a significant initiative for me."

Benny Landa, Founder and Chairman of Landa Digital Printing, said: "We are pleased with the long-term relationship with Altana, and are very pleased with the expansion of this partnership, which also includes SKion, with which we share a common vision. This extensive funding is one of the fundamentals we assume for accelerated growth creation, now that we have begun to supply our nanographic presses to customers around the world. "

Two years ago, at the end of the largest printing exhibition in Germany, Landa Digital Printing reported that it had received orders of 450 million euros during the exhibition. The cost of each machine is $ 3-4 million and Landa offers three different printer models.

"We are excited by the partnership with Landa Digital Printing, which began in 2014, when the field of nanography was still young. Since then we have supported LANDA Digital Printing in finding innovative materials science solutions for digital printing, and we look forward to continuing to do so in the future. "

The current investment is added to the $ 400 million invested in Landa Digital Printing by Benny Landa and Atlanta. Landa continues to be the main shareholder in the company, with 54%, and Atlanta and SKion together hold 46% of the company, with Atlanta remaining 33.3%.
