Loo gee! New story aa gai. Purani story hai waisay.

Pakistan - US relations were really bad during this time in point, thanks in part to Raymond Davis saga, Obama administration accusing Pakistan of sheltering Haqqani Network, and Kiyani refusing to launch a military operation in North Waziristan. Zero chance/proof of collusion with US for Operation Neptune Spear to help Obama administration during these times. And do not forget that Obama administration thanked Pakistan with Salala incident not long after.

Hersh jhoot bol raha hai - uss ney eik kitaab likhi hai revenue generate karney key liyey - hot topic hai. Officials privy to Operation Neptune Spear debunked his account, and I can provide these links. Independent sources have also pinpointed lot of issues in Hersh's account.

    Example: https://www.vox.com/2015/5/11/8584473/seymour-hersh-osama-bin-laden

I suppose Saddam Hussein had an agreement with US in regards to invading his country in 2003, and giving him a fair trial but US backstabbed him in the end... Wait, I should write a book on this theme and try my luck in sales...

America changed its policy, after India Pakistan air war. It was biggest disappointment for West. They didn't expect such a big response from Pakistan AF to So called regional superpower. It signaled US, yes , Pakistan still this region big power militarily and politically.

I wouldn't read too much into this report. Most American think tanks have China as their main enemy and India as their main ally. They are bitter about their experience in Afghanistan. I expect any aid still provided by USA will be removed as well. They may give us a free trade deal..if we help in Afghanistan.

Purani story hai, bhai. Hersh's account - a lot in it does not align with the known aspects of Pak-US dynamics at the time - see my earlier post above for some pointers, and additional developments.

    FYI: https://www.vox.com/2015/5/11/8584473/seymour-hersh-osama-bin-laden

PAK - US relations took a major nosedive prior to this operation, starting with Raymond Davis chapter or earlier. In fact, this chapter was a blow-out in the public - representative of a much bigger fissure beneath the surface. Those two guys whom Davis shot...

I hope this is true, but we need to proceed with caution for our own good.

Oblige them, but demand something long-term from them. PAK - US relations should be on sound economic terms (trading; industry; projects); aid should not be long-term goal. I hope we have a good negotiating team this time.

I am really worried about Pakistan's economic trajectory though; dysfunctional since the days of Zardari regime.

    Hahaha - great....

    You creative-minded.

    Khafee, my dear friend,

That is the tragedy... isn't it. #3 is the key... but the Economichitmen are protected.

I guess the simple way is an open, behind the scenes settlement. We know who they are. For whom and for what agenda they worked for. And their current and future asset value is zero.

By handing them over... the US & Co. can gain massive goodwill...and recover some prestige.

The US & Co. are free to cultivate new assets... its a freemarket afterall. But it's time to close the old book.

I have a sense that such a dialouge is happening or it should... Pak remains a key player.

As I have always said... Pak is a Regional Power of Global Consequence.

I would very much like to see a new Economic Framework between UAE-KSA combine and Pak..from strategic to deep economic intergeration.

    What says you, sport!

If Pak can manage Q2-Q3 2019... Pak is heading in the right direction.

    Take care,

    Mangus
