They added that the ecnounter which is still raging in Hafruda forests has so far claimed lives of three army personnel. Army’s 6 RR had launched massive searches following inputs about the movement of some militants in the area since last two days, reported GNS. Late last evening, after conducting searches in the vast area, the forces intercepted a group of militants in dense bushes at Tilpatren forest area, some 7 KMs from Hafruda forests, sourcs told the agency. After being intercepted, the group was engaged in a gunfight by the forces, they said. In the fierce gunfight, three army men were killed and another one is reportedly missing in the area, they said. Another encounter between militants and forces is also underway in the Krusan area of the state. One militant has been killed and an AK-47 recovered from him. More details awaited.
