Answer's honestly simple.
India's holy tejas haven't been inducted by their own air force properly, hardly 40 planes, and the Tejas have been in development way before JFT as well, showing that the delay is due to problems.
JFT meanwhile has more than 150+ planes already in the air serving 3 air forces.

but not everyone wants Western or Indian.
lol no one objects to western weapons, issue is limitations of Tejas weapon integration and reliability, other biggest issue is, India claims Tejas to 100% indigenous, but actual product is nothing Indian, and India has no rights or control over the mixture of parts used.

It is about requirements, and nothing more.

JF 17 is made by Chinese but they don't want because it does fit for their requirements because the have better aircrafts.

Even PAF was ready to accept a under developed aircraft from block 1 to block 2 and still now, block 2 is not have not integrated with helmet-mounted display and sight (HMD/S) system.

The same goes to IAF, definitely there was some delay but again IAF was not ready to accept as same as chinese a under developed aircraft.

HAL Tejas MK1 and JF 17 block 2 - both are having same capabilities but difference is that PAF is ready to accept but iAF is not.

Moreover, HAL Tejas MK1a and Jf 17 block 3 will be better and good aircrafts.

First of all they are not of the same class. Tejas is a light fighter while jf17 was made in haste to fill the operational gap of the PAF cost effectively. Jf17 is the option for poor countries with dysfunctional militaries like Nigeria and myanmar. Chinese and pakistanis took care to make it cheap that why there have been issues with its airframe.

But Pakistanis can make it better by using carbon fibre to make its airframe instead of aluminium, install a western engine in place of the current russian RD93/33 etc but that will make it more costly.

Sour grapes comes to mind but in reality jealousy and pathetic brains are at work.

OHH lol! really then you don't understand the market. Even JF 17 is not 100% made by Chinese, is is used Russian engine, russian Gryazev-Shipunov GSh-30-2 (GUN), etc...... So???

But only plus with JF 17 is that it is made by Chinese and they can provide the parts during the critical time and without restriction.

HAL tajas is made for India by India, As same as like Saab Gripen jas 39 and EF fighter, it is used some parts from other countries...... So exporting the fighter will always be challenge as same as them!

Example - Saab Gripen jas 39 is made by Sweden by using parts of other nations but no one questions.

but being a other part of side !you people questions! Even I am dam sure that if Saab Gripen jas 39 was making by India then also you never accept that!

It is all about EGO and nothing more! I never make fun of AZM plan even by knowing that PAK has not design even a trainer aircraft till now and talking about 5th Gen fighter unlike you people.

about JF 17, it is fact that Chinese made the aircraft with involvements, inputs and based on the requirements from customer (PAF). Chinese never wanted and as a good businessman, they made the product for PAF...

If Tejas is not capable of carrying wide array of weapons then it's nothing more than a flying Samosa. If you got issues with listed reasons then counter it with facts then rants.

What?

Again you don't understand what does means by weapons suite which mentioned.

Technology, JF 17 block 2 does not give any advantage over HAL Tejas Mk1 but HAL is facing problems when come to export as same as EF, Saab Gripen jas 39 etc including production rate....

JF 17 is more suitable to export because expect engine, all parts are produced by China. it is not about capability but availability with no restrictions.
