Daronomics: The fallacy of fixing currency price

I only posted news that is relevant to the thread. I acknowledge that sometimes it is necessary to maintain currency stability for short periods so that domestic industries are able to import the goods required for manufacturing at a predictable cost. The devaluation must be gradual. But I...

Daronomics: The fallacy of fixing currency price

Other countries in the region have not passed the oil price cut to consumers. The decision to slash prices or not is the privy of the administration. It is taken considering the risk of impact to the exchequer. Mr. Dar has taken this decision with the confidence that he can manage the fiscal...

Energy purchase from Russia is not subject to secondary sanctions yet. When that is in place, India will have to cooperate the same way that it had to stop Iranian oil purchase (during Trump regime). Daronomics: The fallacy of fixing currency price

It seems like a section of Pak's media has already decided to crucify Mr. Dar even before he can start work. Mr. Dar may be able to resurrect PKR through more traditional means than by burning forex $ (that Pakistan does not have anyway). I agree (with Mr.Dar) that it is possible for PKR to be...

As per Miftah's interview in CNN, we can trust that PDM will respond positively. Besides PM Shehbaz's body language also suggests that he is inclined to trade with Russia
