Thnx any how! Any ways I wish I had better videos.
I think I understand sustained turn rates better now. Fighter with superior sustained turn rates could pull off higher g turns at higher speeds, am I right?
Doesn't instantaneous turns bleed a fighter's energy?
siege - I'm sorry, I just can't tell from the video. Something to remember, though, SUSTAINED turn rate, radius, and G-load are set in stone by physics. A P-51 at 200 knots and 6 G has the same radius as an F-16 at 200 knots and 6G. INSTANTANEOUS rates vary, though. And performance also varies wildly with altitude. Some airplanes do better than others as altitude is varied.
We need your professional pilot skills analysing a badly shot video. I'm sure you've eye balled many aircrafts when they were turning from both the air and the ground and was able to make very good estimates about the turn rates. Can you help us out?
