Imran Khan's bullet proof air conditioned container for PTI's march

.
Heard some chatter about the security setup.

ICT Police is not believed by the NS setup to be willing to shoot at the protesters, therefore they are going to bring in the Rangers which will make the situation more complex as the Rangers is not going to carry out orders not sanctioned by the GHQ.

NS is trying to contain the march outside Islamabad as he has no authority willing to shoot the protesters and if he uses his terrorist allies of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Sipah-e-Sahaba as anarchists, the Army would have no option but to send the Delta-1 brigade to drag him out of the PM house.

In other words, NS is stuck between the butcher and the meat mincer.

Only time will tell who will do what, the army is no holy cow for anyone , we still remember their performance on 2nd may 2011. I have belief in Gen. Raheel Sharif that he will obey orders of PM but I have doubts about zaheerul islam who is from mushi camp.

I hope the event goes peaceful, this "event" could potentially trigger a civil disturbance of epic purportions

Thank you Aero. As always, your post changes a lot of things in a discussion. Here is my counter argument. Before you read it, know that I've pissed off many trying to make the same point but people aren't ready to go beyond the little they want to know or already know. Where is the proof that IK and Shariff wanted to play good and bad cops "together"?? I'd like to see it otherwise, it's stuff in the thin air like the laboratories that are trying to assemble voices from the radio waves in the air from 1960's discussions.....

The point here is not IK or Shariff's or anyone else. The point is, your country and this isn't the past anymore. This time, the consequences will be extremely hard. A lot of the funding organizations like the US Government, etc are getting tired of this drama usually supported by the military in Pakistan. There is never stability.

The IK situation is, why does he not see the need to do something democratic, that is, in people's broader safety and security and in the country's interests, discuss the situation with the government so more body bags don't have to surface. Why be so barbaric to such a sensitive issue of human lives?

Next, what will happen if he over takes the government? Next time, Shariff's or others would bring out their millions of people and take over the State? Is that it? You don't win, you bring your people and then get scores killed and then you get the power?
When will this cycle stop? This will lead to the civil war and then breaking of Pakistan....

As these things are happening, you should also consider the default you'll hit, the destruction of economy that's doing well (check your stock market and other investment forecasts and work in progress on this VERY forum).....all of this will be gone and it won't come back. You guys will become the other Afghanistan no one wants and it'll break. Has anyone thought this through?? Knowing ALL these danger to Pakistan and to its people and their lives and on the system, WHY NOT engage in discussions so NO ONE else gets killed. You all meet half way and the country goes back to where it needs to be....that is producing more jobs, projects finishing up, etc etc?

  • Govt had 14 months to hear the grievances of the citizens but they refused
  • Freedom comes before the economy
  • The march is constitutional
  • Govt's invocation of 245 and 144 is unconstitutional
  • Their obstruction of citizen's mobility, free speech, freedom to assemble peacefully and to become part of a political event is a breach of the constitution.

  • Murder of 14 citizens in Lahore for demanding their rights is unconstitutional
  • Multiple rounds of talks between the govt and opposition have failed mainly due to the lack of action by the administration.

  • Govt has cut down all legal means to have the election audited peacefully.

Pakistan is at a sensitive juncture, this is our moment to change the system, clean our electoral system so we can have free and fair elections. This is the objective of this march. Its goal is not to cease power.

Only time will tell who will do what, the army is no holy cow for anyone , we still remember their performance on 2nd may 2011. I have belief in Gen. Raheel Sharif that he will obey orders of PM but I am fully about zaheerul islam who is from mushi camp.

Army will not shoot or let anyone shoot at the citizens.

But allow me to add something. So IK takes your country over. Then IK becomes the PM or the military comes in.....sanctons, default, bankruptcy, no weapons anymore...India is growing like a giant, your nukes are at risk, Afghanistan will become harder to deal with due to massive weapons package, Taliban another issue, Baluchistan another drama, economy hitting the wall. Projects will stop, investors running away.......WHAT exactly is the goal here?
If IK becomes a PM in some "sort" of elections......then the Shariff's or the PPP bring their few million out, take over Lahore and then elsewhere.....what would happen? Next government? This is civil war coming right up front on the wall. The military is already stretched too thin and riots in millions in different cities...no military can tackle by using force......is the goal to break Pakistan? As this is the perfect way of doing it....?

The ONLY best option is for IK to be democratic enough and talk to the Government and meet in the middle, still do the protest with assurance and safely move on and save lives. Your country is in such a sensitive mess that the military intervention would cause a lot of damage and so will the toppling of the government as it'll become a habit you can't stop. This is like giving birth to Taliban all over again. This time, the extremism is within your own society and this beast will destroy Pakistan into peices

Sir, NS hans't got such balls to play such a dangerous game, but the Chaudhary's of Gujraat are capable of doing anything for their advantage. In-fact Chota Chaudhary is whining all over media that the country is heading towards cival war..!! To my limited knowledge, Imran Khan and company would be allowed to enter in Islamabad through restricted areas in the blue area...but they will not be allowed to go near D Chowk as it has declared a red zone and FC along with police has been deployed over their heavily...!!

.
My hunch is that we maybe headed towards a technocratic setup tasked with doing the cleanup and conducting, free and fair elections which are acceptable to everyone.

Doubt it greatly , IMF is behind Nawaz Sharif , Vultures are waiting to purchase stuff for dirty cheap prices

Most countries that have gone the path of "No privitization and nationalistic agenda" have suffered in recent years

example

Libya
Vanazuella
Iran

All countries rejected IMF and capitalism and opted for social system in country

However if Musharaf / Imran Khan could come to power again that would be best option for Pakistan

Imran's policies are pro education and pro social health setup and fixes and removing curruption and IMF would not want that to happen

I don't want Mr Qadri to come any where near Leadership role of any kind

What crazy stream of violence are you talking about exactly? The one which PMLN goons started by "attacking" model town a month a go or the one they started by blocking entire cities a few days ago?

And about him wanting to negotiate with the Taliban, he wanted negotiations because he didn't want Pakistan's Army to have to kill Pakistanis, who (he believed) could be reasoned with. When negotiations broke down, he too supported Zarb-e-Azb.

"KPK Government's Performance - Public Opinion - Siasat pk Exclusiv". Google it It's in Urdu, but since you speak 11 languages, that shouldn't be a problem, right?

1) Crazy stream of violence where many Policemen killed, abducted, tortured along with civilians.....properties and cars and buses burnt. Since when such violence and terrorism became anyone's right? And no, wasn't started by the gov't, ther Mullah Greeder's speech will tell you how extremism he is. Taliban with a nice jacket on, same mentality and I mean it. No idea about democracy or being able to talk in a manner that solves issues

2) IK didn't want PA to go kill Pakistanis, makes perfect sense. But now he's about to go in a direction where people will be killed and have been killed. What happens after topping the gov't? Next time PPP or PML will take their few million people to Islamabad.....and take over the country? Then what? Civil War between ethnic groups and politicians?

3) I can't read Urdu, I can speak it. So provide translation. Is this a credible source like The Nation, Jang, Geo, Nawaiwaqt the main news bodies?

The US is not a "funding organisation" to Pakistan. The US doesn't give aid to Pakistan out of goodwill, they give it for their geopolitical interests, like the (relatively) recent Afghanistan invasion and keeping the soviets away back in the Cold War. Not to mention that we (Pakistan) have lost more in the "war on terror" that the US dragged us in than what we have gained from their aid.

Imran Khan did not endager anyone's life, all he wants for is a peaceful protest for god's sake! If it was OK when Nawaz wanted it , why isn't it ok now? The only ones endangering lives are PML-N, by blocking cities and provoking Qadri's workers (by besieging Model Town). I, personally, am against Qadri's methods and all the crap he says in his speeches (such as : Khoon ka badla police ke khoon say etc) but in this case, he is right to be against the Ganja monarchy.

As for "why not engage in discussions" well, PTI has been doing that for over a year with no results.
IK's protest wont destroy our country. but Nawaz and Zardari and all the other corrupt assholes will, if they keep taking "bariyaan" at eating the country. Imran Khan doesn't want to wait any longer, and that's a good thing.

For every good thing PMLN brings to the country, they eat 10 times more than what they spend. The make metro busses and hand out laptops to keep people distracted from the real issues, and to show that he is "doing something". But guess what? They have had control over Punjab during Zarari's term, did anything improve? They were in power 2 times before, what did they do for the country?

1) Those were Qadri's people who acted because the police, on orders from the government, placed containers and deprived them of their right to protest and free movement.

2) Like I have said many times before, no one would have been killed if the Goverment hadn't over-reacted.

3) Its a video, and it's from a rather well-known internet community. I'd say its more credible than what Geo or Jang will have to say, since they're completely biased against PTI.

My hunch is that we maybe headed towards a technocratic setup tasked with doing the cleanup and conducting, free and fair elections which are acceptable to everyone.

But by whom , you mean army who have no credibilty , their catastrophic evil rule just ended 7 years ago.

.
  • Taliban have been kicked out of Pakistan and won't come back.
  • Military will not take over - unless NS decides to open fire on the protestors.
  • PPP is dead.
  • The goal is not to make IK the PM
  • The goal is to have a clean system which is capable of building enough confidence among all parties to conduct a free, fair and unbiased election. Whoever wins it including NS would have the public mandate.

- Taliban will be back with vengeance supported by Afg and India. Watch my words. Your stretched too thin military won't know how to handle it. Trust me on what I am saying and give it a thought. These protests if turned violent and toppled the government, will start to break Pakistan.
- PPP isn't dead. What IK is doing, they can do too. Take Sindh and do this there and cut that down from the Federal. THAT is precisely what I am saying, you are providing so many new friends to your enemies if this happened here. Trust me on it, we'll be talking about it when it happens. Seen it WAY too many times in the recent history. You are about to pop up a new ethnic based identity in Pakistan that would break it apart. India and others will be pouring in $$$$ in amounts that you won't believe.
- The goal whatever it may be, will derail the system. That's what your enemies want right now. The visitor from Dubai may be getting paid by some of your enemies. Your enemy don't want Pakistan to become a stable country with prosperity and the Chinese partnership right on their borders. I think you are smart enough to know that??
- Clean system will only be build by the time next elections will happen (normally, not like this) and when IK and Shariff's will sit down and discuss how to make these fool proof the next time. All other options, take you guys straight into your enemy's long term strategy and you are falling like a fool in their hands.
- NS won this time too.....even if you minus the Ten seats....so why not work with him and save all this long term trouble and get the country to progress on the right track???

Aero man, I've fought with people trying to make the above points which no one wants to hear due to blind love for IK. Frankly speaking, you are about to get hit by a bus and I am warning you guys as a courtesy and out of care!

They should have work for this goal before participating in election. Did Ik bothered to think about reform in election process if he managed to win the election and formed central government? He thought about reforms after losing the elections.
