With current technology..is there a ckuntry on the world that can create 1 gigatkn nuclear warhead?

:undecided: ........................................

No one would admit in creating such a monster. The Tsar Bomba is believed to be the largest ever detonated at 100 megaton.

initial plans were for 100 mt
but the final product was 50mt...or so says wiki.
but in those days efficiency of nuclearcweapons was very low..

And they say USA is warmonoger.

go away mate.

E=mc2 says it will need 23kg of matter to fully annihilate into energy to create 1 gigaton yield.
but hiroshima bomb had 0.7 percent efficiency..
dont know whats latest.

There is no requirement for such a weapon.

In days of the cold war era, or even post WWII, might have been possible, but now, it is the era of precision bombing, it really makes no sense , other than to show off.

My little knowledge on this subject.

We may soon need it save Earth in 2012 from external celestial body on a collision course with our Earth.

Yes it could be created but I guess nobody did it yet cuz this would be fusion explosion ony.....

Nukes should be banned in every country. Just sayin.

gigaton hmmmmm sounds like a beastly patakha.

Full annihilation is not possible by either fission or fusion, only a minor part of the element will annihilate during the transformation from heavier element to lighter element.

Full annihilation is only possible in case of anti-matter, which transforms into pure energy upon contact with matter. But storing 23 Kg of antimatter is not possible.
