Ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet will take part in the international exercise AMAN 2021 in the Pakistani port of Karachi. Representatives of more than 30 countries have confirmed their participation in it, about ten of which use their own ship composition. Among them, in particular, representatives of the US Navy, the Royal Navy of Great Britain, the Chinese Navy, the Japanese Naval Self-Defense Forces, the Turkish Navy, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, as well as the Royal Malaysian Navy. Ships of the Russian and NATO naval forces will take part in a joint exercise for the first time since the Bold Monarch 2011 exercise, held off the coast of Spain. The goal of the AMAN 2021 exercise is to strengthen and develop military cooperation between the participating countries in the interests of security and stability at sea, as well as the exchange of experience between naval sailors in repelling the threats of sea piracy in areas of intense shipping.

MoU signed Between Pakistan and China to Enhance Defence Ties

Pakistan and China on Monday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for enhancement of defence cooperation between the armies of the two countries. Prior to signing of the MoU, General Wei Fenghe, Minister of National Defence of China, called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of the Army Staff, at the General Headquarters.

Argentine Air Force is Considering JF-17 as it’s Future Fighter

According to the chief of staff of the Argentine Air Force, Javier Isaac, aircraft manufacturers easily succumbed to British pressure, since they doubted the country's financial ability to pay for the purchase of new fighters. The general explained that the purchase of a JF-17 fighter is possible. The aircraft is produced in Pakistan, which was visited by a special commission of the Air Force in 2017.

US Exits ‘Open Skies’ Defence Treaty

Open Skies was agreed just after the Cold War to allow signatories to avoid nasty surprises or unfounded suspicions by monitoring rival militaries. The treaty was signed in 1992 and came into force in 2002, allowing 35 signatory countries, including the United States and Russia, to fly unarmed surveillance flights over each other's territory.

Turkey’s Havelsan completes ‘hearts’ of new type submarines

Dubbed the “heart” of the vehicles, the Submarine Information Distribution System (DBDS) was developed to meet the demanding criteria of the operational environment. It was decided that DBDS, which attracted the attention of foreign submarine construction and modernization programs in 2019, be used in the modernization of Agosta-class submarines which are in the Pakistani Navy's inventory.
