During the visit, the Naval Chief called on Chief of Staff Qatar Armed Forces (QAF) Lt General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al-Ghanem, Commander Qatar Emiri Naval Forces (QENF) Major General Abdullah Hassan Al-Sulaiti and Commander Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) Major General (Pilot) Salem Hamad Eqail Al-Nabet separately.

Ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet will take part in the international exercise AMAN 2021 in the Pakistani port of Karachi. Representatives of more than 30 countries have confirmed their participation in it, about ten of which use their own ship composition. Among them, in particular, representatives of the US Navy, the Royal Navy of Great Britain, the Chinese Navy, the Japanese Naval Self-Defense Forces, the Turkish Navy, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, as well as the Royal Malaysian Navy. Ships of the Russian and NATO naval forces will take part in a joint exercise for the first time since the Bold Monarch 2011 exercise, held off the coast of Spain. The goal of the AMAN 2021 exercise is to strengthen and develop military cooperation between the participating countries in the interests of security and stability at sea, as well as the exchange of experience between naval sailors in repelling the threats of sea piracy in areas of intense shipping.

India leases two MQ-9B Reaper drones from USA

The American-origin drones have been inducted by the Indian Navy under the emergency procurement powers granted by the Defence Ministry in view of the India-China border conflict. An American crew from the vendor is also accompanying the equipment and would help the Navy to operate the machines.
