Zardari said that despite offers by Pervez Musharraf, Punjab government was given to Nawaz Sharif.



Addressing a gathering in Naudero on the 58th birthday of late Benazir Bhutto, President Asif Ali Zardari said that the conservative approach and views of Nawaz Sharif and his political followers are being defeated. Zardari said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz was following Zia-ul-Haq’s political policies whereas the Pakistan People’s Party has opted for political reconciliation. Zardari said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benzair Bhutto sacrificed their lives to save the country.


President Zardari said that no country in the world can run without the army. He said that the army was fighting against terrorism and sacrificing their lives while some forces in the country were conspiring to create tension between the soldiers and the generals. Zardari said that he would not let the conspiracy to separate the solider and the generals succeed.


The Pakistan People’s Party inaugurated Benazir’s birthday by donating blood. President Zardari said that Nawaz Shairf’s conservative views led to the murder of Benazir Bhutto but Zardari added that he would continue the political reconciliation policy of Benazir which Nawaz and his political followers oppose.


Zardari said that is his party wants to work alongside all the other political parties then why are people bothered. He said that every investor, to save their investments, were introduction television channels and criticizing the government.
