It is good TO BE DIPLOMATIC - No country should be in isolation. AS LONG AS the other countries do not kill your people. Lets assume 9/11 was done by OBL and gung hu - In consqeence, how many people did America/EU/Israel kill?

Our $$$ elite was having smoke and $$$.

I still believe Imran Khan is not under influence of the west. HOWEVER, he should NOT have met the killers of the Muslim world.

Why is American killer meeting Muslim politicians and influencing?

US secretly backs rebels to fight al-Qaeda in Syria
Sources tell Telegraph that America is backing 'friendly' rebels with millions in cash and non lethal aid to take on extremists in Syria

It’s Official: US Funding Al Qaeda and Taliban

It’s extremely ironic for the US State Department to be issuing travel alerts for US citizens in the Middle East and North Africa the same week we learn that the Pentagon is contracting with Al Qaeda and Taliban supporters to carry out Afghan reconstruction projects.

Tony Capaccio of Bloomberg News cites a quarterly report to Congress by Special Inspector for Afghan Reconstruction John Sopko. The report reveals Sopko asked the US Army Suspension and Disbarment office to cancel 43 contracts to known Al Qaeda and Taliban supporters. They refused. The reason? The Suspension and Disbarment Office claims it would violate Al Qaeda and Taliban “due process rights.”

Habibi how much more $$$ do you need?

Tribals (comparatively less civilized societies) get beaten up by superior societies. ALWAYS!

Has happened during Pharaohs, Caesars, Mogals, US, British and the list goes on and on.

It is not Islam vs. non-Muslim.

---- Read about Fukuzawa (Japanese philosopher from mid-19th century) and you will understand.

Why you all latch to wrong concepts.

sad to see your post.

Tribals become dollar khor, petrol khor

Civilized people organize in superior ways.

We are talking about the same thing.

you are talking about effect.

I am talking about cause

With due respect, please understand what I am saying here.

Thank you.

You know you guys are in Rooster Coop, as explained by by Arvind Adiga in Booker Prize winner "The White Tiger"

You are like those chickens in the coop, who know that the Kasaai is gonna cut you next. You have seen him killing your cousins but you chickens do not do anything, you do not rebel. You do not stand up against the Kasaai.

The protagonist (and antagonist at the same time) considers himself one of the chickens. And finally he breaks free from the coop after doing something which the readers do not expect him to do.

It requires an insane to break that coop. It, in fact, requires The White Tiger.(That's one of the lines in the novel)

No need to fight. Let others live. Let us live.

not a chicken coup.

Wrong example.

more like a pen of barking and biting mad animals who do not know how to sit down and use brains to deal with a situation.

It is all about survival instincts.

Their survival instincts. are much more primitive compared to the non-Muslim Indian survival instincts.

My dear posters,
non-Muslim Indian survival instincts have developed under centuries of Muslim rule.

therefore Indian non-Muslims have learned to be smart and figure out when to be aggressive and when to be passive.

Palestinians are more like native-Indians of USA.

slowly losing the territory while constantly being aggressive.

Just because muslim heads of states, get thier power or rule from the west, so they dont have any power to, dissagree with them , even it means their own destruction?

The biggest problem is unity!

Muslims all over find reasons to fight - be it sects = Shia/ Sunni

or schools of thought: Deobandi/ Brailvi

Be it ethinicity : Pakhtoon / Punjabi/ Sindhi/ Mohajir

Be it Nationalist: Turks/ Arabs / Persian

We see everything EXCEPT 1 banner = Islam

We see everything wrong with another except that we pray and should fear 1 god

Basically everything wrong with us is our refusal to unite!

United we stand divided we fall....is something unheard of by Muslim leaders coz all they indulge is in their greed coz if they unite, there will be 1 ruler and not everyone will hold the status they have now! Due to self interest they rather get a few thousand killed than have 1 common ruler!

lol, its easy.

At this point of history, West is far more powerful than Islamic World. At the same time, it is stable under the leadership of the United States and Islamic World has no leader, is at war with itself, and it is in disarray.

Muslims need to come up with a mechanism where they'll be united, stable, and under the leadership that is massively supported by Islamic masses across the globe.

Actually the 1st question should be what Muslim world?

Sultanate is not allowed in Islam - That kills literally all the Sultanates in Middle east from Saudi, UAE to Oman...

In Islam (to be a Muslim you need to refer to Islam) one is not a Muslim if he doesnt want the same thing for his brother which he wants for himself nor is he a Muslim if he wants ill for his brother the same ill he wouldnt want for himself....

From these points alone which country is Muslim when they dont even see Palestine's suffering ...Iraq's brutal massacre...The equation Middle east = Muslim world is really crap!

Time is the only response to your question.
until this very date no civilization has been able to stand the test of time, civilizations fall and will rise again.

The muslim civilization has had its golden times, and it is the western turn now.

Ours has fallen, but only to rise again. Now we don't know when, but time will tell us.

This is more or less a generalisation. History is replete with examples where less civilised societies were able to defeat far more superior civilisations. For example:
  • Mongols beat the Persians and the Caliphate of Baghdad and then the captured China.

  • Germanic tribes defeated the Western Roman Empire.

  • Arabs defeated Persians and Eastern Roman Empire, superpowers of their times.
One thing that has persistently been present in all the major conqueror societies of the past is the pooling of the resources, human and material, to create a Pax-Romana, Pax-Brittania, Pax-Americana and Pax-Islamica (Dar-us-Salam and Dar-ul-Harb). All these societies pooled the knowledge base and the human capital to advance their aims.

On the contrary, the societies which were fragmented (religiously, socially, ethnically), decadent and indifferent (to the needs of their citizens, to the challenges of the age – scientific, social, economic, etc.) are most likely to fall.

America's strength is it's strong bond of nationalism that is supra-ethnic and supra-religious. Pooling of human and material capital has brought best minds of the world to its doors.

Same could be said about any large power in the past, an economic power presented economic opportunities (like the land of opportunity today) and people were attracted to it. The people who went were already those who were risk-takers and people who had mental prowess or the capital to spend. Once, a nucleus was formed, it automatically expanded with all the input coming from the outside. All that was needed was: Effective Management (Governance). Another example is mini-superpower of Singapore.

One problem that was present with most of the superpower of the past and present is that they are all predatory in nature. Just like nature they also abhor a power vacuum and seek to fill it. This way they expand their outreach, but sometimes become victim to expansion; a commonly quoted example is Soviet Union. It is this predatory nature of superpowers – for the sake of power, territory or resources – is that does not allow other people to reach their level.

Now, instead of expanding further, I would just say a couple of things about the world today: It's Malthusian. There are a finite resources for which there is an expanding global population is competing. The best small essay written by a Malthusian – Jared Mason Diamond - about that can be accessed here:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/02/opinion/02diamond.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

Being a Muslim, I agree with @Akhelios, Our Achilles heel is UNITY i.e. not pooling the resources of the Ummah.

And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided. (3:103)

Geopolitics is all about power.

The irony is that the Islamic world combined has a huge amount of power. Unfortunately for them, they are not politically aligned with each other.
