It is widely reported that the Pakistan Army is reaching the last phase in its fight against the militants inside the country. According to a news article below: “The army says it has killed more than 2,700 militants since the launch of the offensive — dubbed Zarb-e-Azb — last June, and destroyed more than 800 of their hideouts.”

It is no secret the terrorist organizations like the TTP and Lashkar-e-Taiba have been working diligently to destabilize the nation of Pakistan. Thousands of innocent lives have been lost due to their acts of terror. Their barbaric nature is evident through their statements and how they boast about the killings and show no remorse while accepting the responsibility.

One of the key details to note is that these terrorist organizations have been successful in casting their evil ideology over the minds of many. We’ve seen these terrorist organizations manipulate men, women and even children into becoming suicide bombers. Moving forward, it is important that these terrorist organizations do not succeed at brainwashing anyone into carrying forward their evil agenda. We commend the Pakistani security forces in their efforts to counter terrorism and have full confidence in their ability to restore peace in the country. At the same time, it is also important for everyone to stand united and take any advantage away from the enemies of peace.

Please share your opinion in regards to what must be done to prevent the terrorist organizations from spreading their influence and evil ideology.

1. Close all madrassas even the ones which are proven to be good and arrest extremist clerics.
2. Set up a ministry just for madrassas which would open govt madrassas with a uniform syllabus and all the clerics chosen to lead them should be qualified
3. Make schools the primary source of education for all and madrassas as an evening thing
4. Re write religious books taught in govt schools
5. Teach children about secularism by teaching them good things about other religions at a young age as the current population of pakistan has 0 contact with people of other religions

I am sorry but LeT simply does not exist, and even when an organization with that name was there, it wasn't working against Pakistan and never did. Stop appeasing India, your motives are already questionable.

Since you are now in the US, does this mean that you are now affected by the terrorist ideology?

Being involved or in collusion with US/Israel has been the #1 recruiting tool for terrorist organizations around the world.

Considering the fact that you have been in collusion with the US since your independence, what does that say about Pakistan?
It only became a problem for us recently ;).

The State (Pakistani Government) needs to lead the way in repealing laws that openly discriminate against (and persecute) individuals on the basis of their religious beliefs and/or individuals merely voicing views not shared by the majority.

Blasphemy laws need to be repealed, anti-Ahmadi laws need to be repealed, laws barring Pakistani citizens who are not 'Muslim' from any position in government (Prime Minister and President included) need to be repealed.

The subject of 'Islamic Studies/Islamiat' needs to be removed from the Pakistani curriculum or changed to focus on those parts of the Quran that can be used to support democracy and equal rights for all citizens, regardless of faith - essentially an 'Islamic Civics'.

Pakistan cannot expect to combat religious extremism of one kind when we have institutionalized hatred and bigotry against certain groups embedded into our constitution and society, and this applies to most Muslim societies/States.

So when is the Objectives Resolution being repealed? That is the basic problem.

Best way to counter terrorists to destroy there funding which Pakistan is doing right now under NAP.If they have no cash no action it is simple. Also Credit goes to US as well which is helping Pakistan by supplying latest weapons it will help Pakistan a lot to destroy terrorists backbone.

So when is the Objectives Resolution being repealed? That is the basic problem.
It doesn't have to be repealed (no need to stir a hornets nest) - but critical parts of the objectives resolution need to be focused on and used to justify the necessary changes:

"1. The principles of democracy, freedom, equality, tolerance and social justice, as enunciated by Islam, shall be fully observed."

There are 2 ways to look at the excerpt above from the OR:

1. It either covers the repeal of blasphemy laws and laws legitimizing discrimination against Ahmadis and non-Muslims and therefore the OR itself does not need to be repealed.

or,

2. The 'principles ... enunciated in Islam' are in fact discriminatory and prejudicial, which means that you would need Muslims to accept a glaring flaw in their faith, which would be the only way in which you would get support for a repeal of the OR.

Option 2 isn't feasible. It's one thing to argue distortion/misinterpretation of ones faith, and another to argue that the faith itself is flawed.
