WASHINGTON: The United States government on Friday expressed concern over the reports of missing Pakistani bloggers and activists.

Addressing the daily press briefing, Deputy Spokesperson State Department Mark C. Toner said that “we’re very concerned by reports that several Pakistani bloggers and activists have been reported missing and we’re going to continue to monitor the situation.”

Toner further said: “We of course welcome that the interior ministry, I believe, announced that it’s going to investigate the disappearance of one of those individuals, Salman Haider, and we also appreciate the fact that both members – or, rather, members of both houses of parliament have voiced their concern and called for an investigation into all four disappearances."

Meanwhile, the state department confirmed the establishment of a tactical operations centre within US embassy in Pakistan.

Who the hell you are to comment on our internal matters ??? Mind you own business ...

It's the job of the respective government to give a shut up call and call it as Interference in internal matters of Pakistan but hey the government is busy defending Panama Sharif. No time for such matters of no importance.

Were those bloggers promoting hatred and extremism? If so, their arrest or capture should be welcomed by USA.

I don't understand the reaction of Pakistanis. On one hand we criticise Us for their statement but why stop short from asking the Pakistani government over their silence and not giving others a shut up call? It's the job of government.
Pakistanis need to stop accusing others over what they say and start questioning the people in charge

US should focus on the blacks being targeted by their racist judicial and police system. They have no face to be lecturing others. Gitmo Bay? :what:

Who the hell you are to comment on our internal matters ??? Mind you own business ...
Guilty conscience of his given his country bans Kashmiris from attending human rights panels abroad, throws them in torture cells.
