Target killings has suddenly increased and we people who are living in Karachi feel so helpless. Dozens of people are being killed daily but still we have not seen any action taken against criminal elements within political parties.
Recently target killers targeted peaceful and business oriented Memon community in which 3 Memons were targeted in Hussainabad which is situated within 1 km distance from 90. We all know who has the power to do this type of killings near that area. By targeting a neutral community like Memons what they are trying to achieve? Karachi is generating majority of the revenue for the country and Memons play a critical role in this regard.
I know Rangers is active but we do know criminal elements of political parties have literally occupied Police department so when ever Rangers catch someone, Police release them. We all know what happened in the case of Ajmal Pahari recently who murdered more then 100 people in Khi.
So the million dollar question is what Pak Army, ISI and MI is doing to bring peace in Karachi? Why they don't look interested? Army is fighting a useless war for US in tribal areas but they don't have resources to do any kind of operations in Karachi? Top business leaders of Karachi chamber of commerce met Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani and asked him to take some serious action last year but nothing happened.
So now should we just wait for our turn and get killed by these killers?
I blame Musharaf for this situation as he gave a new life to an ethnic group which was almost disbanded. Now they are so much powerful that even army is reluctant to take any action here.
