The whole of Jammu and Kashmir belongs to India, Sushma Swaraj said. (File Photo)

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today hit out at Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over his comments on Kashmir coming under Islamabad's rule one day. She said its "dangerous, though delusional" dream will never come true.

Here's the full statement:

In the last few days, leadership of Pakistan, including its Prime Minister has praised as martyr, a wanted terrorist commander of the banned terrorist organisation Hizb ul Mujahideen, Burhan Wani. He was carrying an award of Rs 10 Lakh on his head because he had perpetrated heinous crimes including murder of elected representatives of local bodies and security forces/personnel.

Even more condemnable than these deplorable attempts from across our border to incite violence and glorify terrorists is the fact that these attempts have been undertaken by Pakistan's state machinery in active partnership with UN-designated terrorist Hafiz Saeed and other leading terrorists belonging to internationally proscribed organisations.

The country which has used fighter planes and artillery against millions of its own people has no right whatsoever to point a finger against our brave, professional and disciplined police and other security forces. Their restraint and respect for their fellow citizens is evident in the unusually high number of the injured personnel - more than 1700 - in the violence unleashed with the support from across the border in Jammu and Kashmir.

Behind Pakistan's unabashed embrace and encouragement to terrorism lies its delusional though dangerous dream that 'Kashmir will one day become Pakistan', as Prime Minister Sharif said yesterday. The whole of India would like to tell Prime Minister of Pakistan that this dream will not be realized even at the end of eternity. The whole of Jammu and Kashmir belongs to India. You will never be able to make this heaven on earth a haven for terrorists.

Pakistan's Prime Minister says that his good wishes are with the people of Kashmir. Sadly, it's not Pakistan's good wishes or moral or diplomatic support but its weapons and terrorism that it has exported to Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan's dirty money, dangerous terrorists and duplicitous state institutions seek to destabilize the region. The statement of none other than the Prime Minister of Pakistan has betrayed this despicable design. But I would like to repeat that this dream of Pakistan will never be fulfilled.

I think it was a careless sentence by the PM, he should be more in tune of the country's capability and reality of taking IOK forcefully, ofcourse there is no other way either.

The same is also true for the other side, but we do not hear any such reckless statements from that side.......atleast not from anyone that matters.

So we can defeat her logic right at the start.

What Ms Swaraj hasn't mentioned is the widespread support that Mr Wani enjoyed during his life
and AFTER his death.

If indeed Mr Wani has all that support evident now, then there is little basis for the rest of her drama.

I guess Pakistani government shot themselves in foot when they came openly in support of Burhan Wani who was member of known terrorist organisation.

Absolutely, I think India should take Kashmir issue at UN security council level at once.

Well it's not Indian government ranting Kashmir at every stage where there are more than two countries.

Ooh that means India has to Hide a lot and Pakistan has to show a lot on this Kashmir issue then:-)

I think it was very immature reaction from Pakistan, they have actually hit them self in the foot. In no way a state government should declare somebody as a national hero if he/she is a terrorist in it's neighbor. Pakistan governments this approach has actually united the Indian Media and people against Pakistan. And all of a sudden the debate in India has changed and it is now about Pakistan sponsoring terrorist, so the state and union government has now got a good excuse, and the only reason is Pakistan.

It really isn't upto Indians or Indian government or Pakistanis or Pakistani government to decide where Kashmir belongs. This right is solely reserved for the people of Kashmir. Politics of rivalry has messed their life enough already. Although from the look of it Kashmiris don't like to stay with India at least.

Pakistan does nothing more than to support the Kashmiri people against their occupiers

Mostly Kashmiri sunnis sir, the pandits are thrown out of their houses and there are few thousands sunnis inside srinagar where you see most of the protest happening. Apart from that Shia, Punjabi, Hindus, Budhhist and other tribes has no problem with India. In fact they get a passport which has some respect, just ask some of Pakistani Non-residents.:agree:

Pakistan Kashmir policy should be aggressive. It cant happen under this government. Nawaz gave a statement for public consumption. He was shaking inside as he has business interests in India. He does not want to harm those. Business and family interests come first.

Sartaj Aziz can soften her....;).... stance on Kashmir for sure through his personal relations.....
