NEVER AGAIN...

Please try to find any news on the possible (God Forbid) Famine in South Sudan & I will like it for you.

Charity now will make the next famine all the worse as they won't learn from their mistakes. How long can a people live on handouts?

People who don't learn from their past mistakes, are damned to repeat it again in the future. At first they are our obligation as fellow humans to help, but here again, 3 decades later with the same problem, they are becoming burden. If we handle the world like business empires, burdens will be exterminated through liquidation or sold. But since humans can't be sold, it could only end up being exterminated.

Or we could simply let them deal with their problem, so either solve it or die (normally people will figure out a way out once they face the fear of death). Meanwhile, other countries got people to feed too.

I am surprised that South Sudan is the one facing famine. Geography wise, north Sudan should be much more vulnerable since it is much drier and is actually part of the Sahara desert.

Nubian (N. Sudanese) always had better land system compared to other Africans since 7000 BC because there were one of the first people develop civilizations. They use Qanats, aquaducts and old chain pumps to grow wheat etc. S.Sudanese people are patrolist cattle herders not Farmers, just like how Han Chinese are better farmers than Xiongnu or Mongols/Turks.

Got it, so it is more of an infrastructure issue.
