It is just a terrible shame. I always like to see Pak play field hockey; phenomenal team in the past. Once cricket is relegated then only you will see other sports improve.

I hope everybody who goes in groups to Brazil will be just as discourteous as the Brazilian tour groups who come up here to visit Disney World. They really know how to misbehave and people always make sure to not book a vacation when they are here because they know they will have an unenjoyable and unhappy time.

The only conceivably viable chance Pakistan has at a medal is through Shah (commonwealth silver medalist and based in S Korea for past 3-4 years) but other than that its going to be another miserable Olympics.

What a dirty olympics, clean athletes like Isinbayeva can't compete while juiced up athletes like Gatlin is allowed to go.

Well Isinbayeva slammed Russian sport officials for letting doping happen and thus ruining her chances.

Its not that bad untill one comes to know that for 7 Athletes , it will be 17 officials...

Why does Pakistan has such a small contingent?

No financial support to athletes means there is little incentive for youngsters to even consider becoming athletes. Combine this with political interference and you have a recipe for disaster :(.

Instead of sending 16 men to win one gold in hockey, we should send 16 men to compete in other individual games like boxing, shooting, archery, etc. more entries greater odds of bringing in the medals.
