I'm sorry bro i can't find the name of the boy but i did some searching and found out it's a Lebanese band called The Harmony Band.

And this is the same video about them reciting the Quran:

It was during a concert, but i don't agree in group reciting of the Quran and treating it like it's some kind of a song, What's next ? adding music to it ? However that's just my opinion.

Q:8:22: For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb― those who understand not.

Then the Prophet looked at him (i.e. that man) while the latter was going away and said, "From the offspring of this (man there will be people who will recite the Qur'an continuously and elegantly but it will not exceed their throats. (They will neither understand it nor act upon it). They would go out of the religion (i.e. Islam) as an arrow goes through a game's body." I think he also said, "If I should be present at their time I would kill them as the nations a Thamud were killed."

In the past it was very common for those that learnt to read and write as Madrasas aside from private schools, private learning (mostly among the privileged class like mostly anywhere else in the world at that time period) were the main learning centers.
Today children still memorize the Noble Qur'an in schools during religious classes or at home but unfortunately not to the extent like once before. At least this is my experience.
