PTI boycotting Geo and Jang: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Friday announced that he and his party would boycott Geo and Jang over what he called "the group's role in rigging” during the national elections held last year.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Khan said the PTI would boycott the media group until it tenders an apology.

He said Geo was responsible for airing a victory speech of Nawaz Sharif at a time when the election results had not been fully counted and collated.

Earlier, Khan had also alleged that the media group had benefited from "siding with the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz".

We at home, never liked Geo and stopped watching all Geo network channels. But after current row against ISI, we have removed all Geo Channels in our channel list. Regardless of PTI's stance, every sane Pakistani should stop watching Geo once and for all.

what a stupid decision... parai shadi main abdullah deewana... all political parties need media and not otherwise.. now his rival parties will have edge from media point of view... this was war between media/ army and PMLN and PTI could have stayed out of this mess and watch from outside.. and taking on to PMLN for mishandling this issue.. why is becoming party to it.. insane move!!!

They have no legal right to restrict any PEMRA approved transmissions according to their own wishes. That will amount to illegal restraint of fair trade.
