The privatization is created many good results in Pakistan since 2 decades and its now being considered as the main tool of running the economy. Now all of the developed countries and developing countries focus on just handling law and order on its own and allow private companies to do the rest of the work.

Same policies are being adopted by Pakistan in order eradicate poverty and specially the corruption present with the system.

Name the list of Govt. owned entities in Pakistan?
When will Govt. going to privatize them to 100%?
How much revenue can be generated through privatization?

100% privatization isn't a proper solution .. Govt should do just like they did to PTCL

privatize less than 50 % and hand over administration of entity to privatized sector ... through this Govt can a part of annual income generated by that entity

Furthermore in my opinion there should be criteria .. worst performer like steel mills,PIA etc which are continuously failing over the decade should be privatized on priority basis

PTCL is destroyed now about 70% of Karachi don't have PTCL connection of any type and its is seeing drop in revenues. If Govt. had privatized PTCL and KESC to an American or EU firm then it might have wiped out many competitors in the region easily.

I think govt should privatize only 50% like Arab states do....Partnership style....but not be part of administration coz apparently govt is incapable we can see from railways, PIA, steel mill, PTCL and others as live example of how "efficient" govt is

No owner would spend 3-5 Billion dollars to take orders from Tattu , 50% stake holder from government

From Government's perspective , they need entities that Make them money by Paying "Taxes"

If there are 5 companies , out of which 4 makes -ve profit and government has to bail out its no good

But after "Privatization" environment must be there for company to make 5-10 Billion profit so BIG tax bill is paid to government

Govt should keep some % to avoid the sell of Pakistan and stop it from becoming a family owned estate!

Privatization is useless if the company owner its sold to hides money offshore or does not pays tax


National Institutes would only work

With out this system in place these places are hub for slackers who work 2 hours a day


But its DUMB to sell company in Pakistan to International owners , who have no interest of local people in mind

I think all of the sectors should be privatized ASAP to foreign groups and some locals too. In this way Govt. can pay back $70 Billion loan back and also can give military some money too.

More over, they should privatize all those education institutions which they have taken over decades ago.

How much Govt. will gain if it privatized the whole system and even sold the education and medical sector too.

That is not true Now a days PTCL Revenue in Karachi is quite fixed because Telephones are not used frequently and due to emergence of PTCL DSL network which is still largest in Karachi the Revenue has gone FIXED not completely Wiped out. U Fone also belong to PTCL so they are now a days involve in more avenues rather then few.

HBL, UBL, Allied Bank ,MCB and PTCL are profitable entities after privatization.

Partialy Railway, PIA's Operations and steel mills complete must be privatize for good results.

I think still there are many financial institutions, Industries, construction and utilities companies should be privatized 100% with in 2 years or less.

I am sure not only we will going to return the loan but will have surplus reserves.
