Anders armored fighting vehicle
The Polish OBRUM company part of the Bumar Group, has unveiled the new Anders armored fighting vehicle. That was reported by below-the-turret-ring.blogspot.com.

The Anders was originally developed as a family of vehicles, most prominently a light tank. The family of vehicles also included an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) version aswell as several other roles. The project was however terminated.

The Anders is a front-engined vehicle with steel tracks. It is made from welded steel with further applique composite armor added for enhanced survivability.

The new Anders is fitted with Oto-Melara’s HITFIST-30P turret (the same turret as used on the wheeled Rosomak IFV). In so far this is identical to the earlier Anders IFV prototype, however features and details have been altered. This configuration is meant to compete with the new Borsuk IFV, that is being developed for the Polish Army. The Hitfist turret is armed with a 30 mm Bushmaster II chain gun from Aliant Techsystems (ATK) and a coaxial machine gun. Furthermore new Spike-LR anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) launchers have been added to the turret. One launcher holding one missile is located at each side of the turret. These launchers has been developed on behalf of the Polish Army for the Rosomak wheeled IFV.

The Hitfist-30 turret can be armored up to STANAG 4569 level 4 (protection against 14.5 mm API all-round), but on the original version used on the Rosomak it was less protected. The addition of ceramic armor made by the Israeli company Rafael was necessary to reach level 4.

The Anders’ hull is designed with modular protection ranging from STANAG 4569 level 3 (protection against 7.62 mm NATO AP ammo with tungsten-carbide core) to level 5 (protection against 25 mm ammunition) or beyond. The vehicle is not amphibious.

Yes even their future soldier program is really good and now these beasts. I hope Pakistan's HIT comes up with something similar soon @RAMPAGE @Arsalan @Sulman Badshah @Tipu7 @Dazzler
Agreed with!

We need IFV, PROPER armored fighting vehicles which can keep pace with the advancing tank columns. The segment of army needs some serious attention. We have discussed the possibility of working on an Armata like project (well the basic idea at least). We are going through some tank trails and what we were talking about is how we can decide and choose the most suitable hull/main frame and then work on that. We can get some engines (a 1200hp one, 1500hp or may be even an appx 1000hp one) from Ukraine. Make that main frame/hull the basis of our future armored projects. We can work on a tank (with a 1500 hp engine) and armored fighting vehicle (with that 1000-1200hp engine), IFV and APC. Also sue the same as the next engineering and recover vehicle, support vehicle may be even work out a SPH as done with OPLOT. This way we will get one single type of hull for all the armored vehicles and even similar type engines with different power output to suite these vehicles. Next step is to get the Chinese, Turks or some westerns involved in battle management, electronics etc. Active protection systems can also be procured for all these types of vehicles.

NOTE: All this was however just a debate and discussion and there are not much indications that military is thinking on these lines just yet. I however do hope that they start doing so.

Well some changes made in Hamza indicates they are thinking like that or on that lines. So we need something like this soon and think in future instead of APC we should go for these ones and for APC MRAP should come. Because sending in war anything which is not armed is stupidity

No not this particular one but i am talking about the "idea" :) Post tu parh lo puri bahi :P

Which lines? Bro the post was about the idea of getting a system selected that can then serve you on multiple fronts and in fact form the basis for future armored programs. The Hamza modifications are more out of current requirement and necessity and not about uniforming a new system for future needs. For that we will need a new system i think.

We need two to three different IFV and pictures of Hamza with turret and machine gun suggest we are moving towards that

Dear we were not talking about this development or these lines. Actually the discussion we had was about a different matter. Anyway, never mind. :)

Well what I know is we need a dedicated IFV also capable of carrying 10 to 12 troops with it. Better we develop our own or we can test this one or these given below

Well THAT is what was the discussion about actually. About how we can POSSIBLY merge the future armored projects and those tank trails and how things can be worked from that. Anyway, it was just a discussion. I hope you have read it already.

By the way I have been studying different future soldiers programs and one major part is having an IFV or Armored Vehicle which also has wifi in it. Can Pakistan or should Pakistan do it also ?

Sure!
WE are moving in that direction as well. The problem is just with our resources and getting done first things first. It is about prioritizing the needs and that is it. No doubt that we will have to and we will actually move in this direction in time to come. IFV and APC will be an important post of future combat formations. Machines that can keep pace with those tank columns!

One more think i will want PA to follow much more aggressively (and they have started doing this already) is squad based formations. Like the US Marines do or other such groups. A company having all the specialists in them. That will come in handy in urban warfare and is proving to be so in the current operations against those TTP scums!

That is good thing by the way we need a future soldier program in which most things like Uniform and bullet proof vest and boots and pads and also most optics related to Gun and new helmet should be local other night vision stuff can be bought or co developed with China or Turkey.
