LONDON – According to ‘The Economist magazine’ the financial indicators published on Friday suggest that Pakistan is the fastest growing Muslim economy of the world.

Pakistan has become the 5th fastest growing economy in the world with Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is growing at the rate of 5.7% in 2015.

According to the publication of London based magazine, The Economist, India is leading the list of fastest growing countries with GDP at 7.6%.

China, Philippines and Vietnam are at the second, third and fourth number with GDP 6.9%, 6.7% and 6.2% respectively.

The interactive table of economics and financial indicators in ‘The Economist’ revealed that Pakistan is way ahead than larger Muslim economies in terms of economic growth in the recent years.

The Muslim countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Egypt and Turkey are all below the Pakistan in economic growth

Farhan did upay attention to the table.

Did u see in the first column against countries names, the latest growth rates ,except for pakistan nad vietnam are all quarterly.

Indias fiscal year starts from 1st april of evey year and enda at 31 marchof next year.

You cant compare yearly gdp growth with quaterly's ,either get all yearly or all quarterly.

And honesly its best you show yearly, like how can indian quarter 7.5 comapre with pak 5.4.

And lemme add more india last year changed its gdp base year (which isnt in conformity with the how base years are chosen, ) and made economic conceptual framework changes just to enhance gdp.
So indias gdp of 2012 13 was 4.7,enhanced to 5.6 something.
And 2013 14 was around 5.1 something enhnced to 6.9pc.

What modi gov has done to fudge the figures has left even indian economists bewlidered and questioning as how such calculations are legit nd sit in conformity with entire economic analysis concepts and method. I Read that all in indian newspapers.

So pakistani 2014 gdp of 5.4 pc was better than indian gdp of 5.1 pc.

This is absurd to compare Pak with Muslum countries......
We should always compare ourselves wuth the whole world......
