Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said Pakistan supports an Afghan-led and owned peace and reconciliation process.

General Bajwa made the remarks during a meeting with US Central Command chief General Joseph Votel on Monday at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

"Blame games are detrimental to enduring peace," said Bajwa while referring to rhetoric against Pakistan following recent terrorists attacks in Afghanistan.

He added that Pakistan has conducted operations against terrorists of all "hue and colour" and there are no safe havens in Pakistan which are used against Afghanistan.

Bajwa, during the meeting with Votel, also expressed his commitment to fully cooperate with the US-led Resolute Support Mission in the neighbouring country.

The chief of army staff also emphasised on border security and intelligence sharing mechanisms with Afghanistan.

General Votel appreciated Pakistan's efforts and sacrifices in the war against terrorism and laid a wrath at the Martyr's Monument during his visit.

On Sunday, General Bajwa had telephoned and suggested installing a "robust border management mechanism and intelligence cooperation" to restrict the movement of terrorists.

Mr COAS soon you will realise that it is not possible...The goons of NDS and the mayor of Kabul will always act against Pakistan but if you want to trust them again and let APS style incidents to happen again..then you will be responsible for that.

We will support anything that makes sure that the million of Afghani freeloaders in Pakistan have a country to piss off to. They have done enough damage to us over the last thirty years.

We should just take some more of their land. You will be surprised how docile people can become if you have the upper hand.

We already have the upper hand, its way the border has remained static for the last 70 years.

What we need to do is lobby US politicians, and Trump, to put pressure on Afghanistan to recognize the Durand line. The Americans just want to put Afghanistan behind them, so we need to convince them that recognizing the border is key to regional stability.

Seeing how right wing Trump is, I think we can convince him to see our point of view, and the enforcement of borders.

We need to enforce our upper hand then.

As for the res of your post, I agree.

A Babur test (dummy warhead) over the Presidential Palace in Kabul should do the trick...

One more example of how our policies are personality led, which means that our very security and prosperity is dependent on personalities. People like Zia-ul-Haq and Raheel Shareef shape us into the regional power that we truly are. People like Musharraf, Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and now Qamar Bajwa make us a laughing stock in front of the world and make our country insecure by giving free reign to foreign interests.

During the last part of Raheel Shareef's tenure, it was the irreligious/secular media like DAWN that was barking about whether he would ask for extension or not. The intention was to smear his good name, and apply pressure to ensure the scrupulous general would feel the need to follow the procedures. Raheel Shareef's timely resignation is NOT a success of due process, and has set no shining example for others to follow. It has only given Nawaz Shareef the opportunity to rip up the top hierarchy and reset the leadership to people who are mental slaves to Western interests.

We need a comprehensive, once and for all solution to make sure our peace, security, and prosperity are not dependent on 'personalities'.
