Russia receiving requests for export of Ratnik infantry combat system’s elements
Russia has received several requests for the export of individual elements of the second-generation Ratnik infantry combat system, Dmitry Semizorov, director general, Central Research Institute of Precise Machinebuilding (TsNIITochmash), has told TASS in an interview.

The Ratnik future soldier system

"As we said, many countries have been keen on our combat system. there have been requests for its individual elements, because the Ratnik as a whole is a very big system," he said.

In 2014, Rosoboronexport announced its intention to export the Ratnik’s elements. TsNIITochmash’s director general told TASS in 2015 that Iraq, Pakistan and Kuwait had displayed interest in the combat system showcased by the institute at the IDEX 2015 arms show. At the time, Semizorov clarified that he meant an export variant of the infantryman’s combat gear, rather than the Ratnik proper.

The Ratnik is a system of advanced protective and communication equipment, weapons and ammunition. It comprises around 40 protective and life support elements, such as bulletproof helmets and body armor, waterproof overalls and hearing, eye, elbow and knee protections among other things. In addition, the Ratnik includes a self-contained heater, a backpack, an individual water filter, a gas mask and a medical kit.

With level heat in Cholistan and Thar deserts plus along our eastern border, this very combat system will be almost impossible to be used by soldiers. Its best suited for used in cold fronts. So Pakistan might not see this system on eastern front in summers but yes can be used along LOC. Nontheless this part is important:

It wud be interesting to see which elements Pakistan would have shown interest in.

Why can't we design our own system customised for our particular needs...
