proud of your Sir , and proud of Pakistan Airforce and All armed forces ...
I wish civilians like me will ever get chance to meet such soldiers and pilots ... why there is now a huge gap between our forces and civilians :(
that makes me really sad yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar , some one please forward my complain to COAS ..

I requested him to provide a snapshot of what this symposium was about. This is what he replied.

This was a symposium in which different aspects of air power evolution were discussed. There were five themes covered by five groups of five speakers each. Each group also had a keynote speaker. The representation of speakers was from 20 selected countries. Additionally, delegates who witnessed the proceedings were from 60 countries. My topic was: How Air Power became an Independent Service and Contemporary Challenges to its Independence. Individual Air Forces did not come under discussion.

"challenges to its independence" .... now this is really interesting. I never though that anything or any factor can take away the independence of Air Power the way it has emerged in the last century.

Any chance we can get videos or transcripts of speeches delivered by various speakers.

BTW, lovely pics and thanks a lot for sharing with all of us here.

What a legend. Often imitated but never duplicated

I still recall attending Pakistan Republic Day celebration at Movenpick Hotel in Ankara. All their military top brass were in attendance including Air Marshal and Coas (Gen Basbug at the time)

They've been there for us during our time of need and vice versa.

Especially on Air Force matters our ties are deeply ingrained. Out Air Force training programs and rank structure are identical.
