ISLAMABAD: The navies of Pakistan and Russia conducted a joint naval exercise in the Arabian Sea, the Pakistan Navy said in a statement issued on Monday.
According to the press release, the personnel of Pakistan Naval Special Operations Forces and Pakistan Maritime Security Agency conducted the joint counter-narcotics exercise with the members of Russian Federal Drug Control Service (FDCS). The exercise was held in Northern Arabian Sea.
“It is expected that this exercise will prove a stepping stone towards increasing interoperability and way forward for future exercises between Russian and Pakistan navies,” the press release from Pakistan Navy said.
“It is also believed that the visit of Russian ship Yarsolav Mudry to Karachi will usher new avenues of friendship and cooperation between our two countries in general and navies in particular,” the statement added.

You must be really fun around people.

'Can you please provide a source for this?'
As I expected, you cannot substantiate it, because it was simply a brain fart from you.

@Mercenary : India did not oppose it because India has nothing to lose from this. We don't oppose Russia when they sell billions of dollars worth of cutting edge weaponry and know-how to China, which is a much bigger headache for us than an anti narcotics drill by their drug control agency. Even the Indian coast guard would not feel threatened by this, and in India it is the CG that carries out these duties.

That's the reality. But this is PDF, and certain think-tanks will tell you fables to stoke their own ego, and also as an opportunity to verbally abuse Indians unnecessarily.
