Beta jee.....for that we need funds to buy equipment and then to keep it running.

I would rather half your list and spend the money saved on fighting corruption back home, providing clean water to people and above all Education and Health.

My friend no one but you are making emotional decision on your own, U-214 boats no doubt are the best PN can acquire but do remember its not like buying a toffee ,these deals are very complex and influenced by many external factors. In case of PN and U boats there is a huge influence of US and IMF on there sales to Pakistan ,also there are many other variables and issues which have crippled the deal ,there are few things on which both germany and PN having contradictions .PN had no choice but to go for Chinese because our Agosta-70 are getting obsolete and the fleet level is not that strong , quick steps must be taken to fill the gap .Also Chinese subs are cheap and provide much more flexibility to PN

As far as OHP's are concerned they have very limited capabilities ,spending on them would be waste of resources Type 054A's are better compared to OHP's also don't forget that due to budget constraints PN is getting them on lease from China

Having said that i will say again that U-214 deal is still not dead if germans come to the wishes of PN, PN will also go for them

well if we consider the technical term then may be qing class will feel not as advance as U-214 but in other ways getting Chinese sub will give Pakistan the flexibility in term of weapon and also have the chance of TOT for this kind of sub which is unlikely in U-214 .

if pakistan has already developd naval version of Babur cM. Then why pakistan iz going For Cj-10. And cj-10 is Antiship missile or Land attack cruise Missile?Original Post By Nav

    Sir,

The missile is selected for tactical and strategic advantage and also as a surprise factor as well----the surprise factor is of more concern than anything else----. It is at this moment the opponent says " oh sh-it "----they may chose to do whatever later on---but you got their attentionand got their brains doing cartwheels.

Looking at what has happened in the past---and regardless of the peace deal with india---even if it comes to fruition---pakistan will still have to maintain and manage a good to excellent strike capability at all times. Our relationship with india is like an ever changing rules of a game---predictable at one moment---daggers drawn the next.

Seems like the pak millitary has after all these years taken the pre assessed, pre determined, pre decided approach----. The wish list is ready---just need to sign the bottomline.

No one currently knows the capabilities of Qing class submarines but from what i have heard about is really interesting,

its length is said to be around 95 meters compared to 65 m of U-214 , According to some sources it has a displacement of 6000 tons where as some claim it to be around 3600 tons when compared to ~1800 tons of U-214 ,in either cases its displacement is much more when we see that of U-214
By all means it has been rumored as a gigantic boat ,probably one of the biggest around the world

Also it is being said that the Qing-class SSK's all-electric propulsion system is a derivative of a similar system that was developed about a decade ago for the PLA Navy's six Type 093 Shang-class SSGNs and three Type 094 Jin-class SSBNs

Why not you guys use Google before coming up with replies if you have no idea or less info about something ???

China may not be a signatory to MTCR, but it has agreed to abide by its rules as a responsible nation.

Yeah i got it thanks. We are working on it.

And as for MTCR, China is already doing hidden exceptions in the form of missile technology help with Pakistan and Iran. But openly no such actions can be done, as it will bring bad name. So better way is to keep it doing hidden. Plus, thanks to China, now we are on our way to design missiles on our own, yeah getting hardware for making the missiles is an issue, which China is helping us with, but we can design our missiles on our own to a great extent. The recent Al Nasr ballistic missile, Ra'ad, babur and other SSMs are an example of it.

If the sub deal goes through, we would be needing help in integrating our Babur CM with it and the tech needed for below sea surface launch would be of importance and China has lots of experience in this field.
