ST LOUIS: Boeingís Defence, Space and Security subdivision in St Louis has upgraded its Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) as part of a $31.7 million full-rate production contract, the Daily Mail reports.

According to sources, the upgrade is a response to calls from air force aviation experts for helmet-mounted targeting systems for air forces in Pakistan, Belgium, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, and Finland, as well as from the US Navy.

Boeing initially began production of its Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System range in 2000, and the system has been in production since 2005.

The JHMCS is deployed on more than 2,500 F-15, F-16 and F/A-18 combat jets worldwide, the Boeing company said Friday.

The system helps Air Force jetfighter pilots fire the AIM-9X Sidewinder heat-seeking air-to-air missile as part of the High-Off-Bore Sight system, enabling a pilot to aim onboard weaponry at enemy aircraft by pointing their head at a targets.

It works to cue the seeker of a missile.
Just the way the radar does.
the Aim-9L seeker is also cue-able..
as is the Aim-9M's which we are buying..
The JHCMS allows us to exploit that fully..
allowing for rapid off-boresight shots limited to a 160 degree cone.

The JHCMS can also be used to cue a radar pencil beam for quick AIM-120 shots.

i wonder what Pakistan army and government sold to the US this time in order to gain this favor?

Maybe they let them back in Shamsi airbase to continue Drones operation, or maybe they will allow them to kill more Pakistani soldiers near Afghan border, who knows. :pakistan:

our people will never learn, we will continue to trust the same snake that bit us b4.

I have discarded my original response and will now try to answer this objectively.

Now listen carefully. You have quit a few american birds in your arsenal. Now unless you replace them right here and right now you'd want to use them to their fullest potential for as long as you are to use them, correct? What will you have us do? Not buy weapons for these birds now that you already have them? Have us continue using them with obsolete systems? These JHMCS aren't going to help anyone except our own boys flying those birds. Your argument lacked any logic and was full of masochistic self petty i.e. the way of a true Pakistani, so to speak.
