New CCTV system inaugurate in Karachi!

Someone on another forum posted these excellent videos on the new CCTV system in Karachi a project led by Mustafa Kamal of the MQM.
The whole project took only 6 months to complete and incorporates some of the latest technologies. Hopefully it will improve the security situation in Karachi.

The system is said to have face recognition software, RFID software, and it is connected directly to NADRA. Kudos to Mustafa Kamal for an excellent job. Inshallah Karachi will continue to develop at this rate.

I am currently watching this video. What we can do additionally is give better communication to the traffic police or create a totally new branch which has cars and radio systems to respond to this system in an efficient speed.

The current traffic police is just not capable of such a task. Of course they need to be armed, and for the back up police force can always be there upon call.

Agreed, this will also provide a way to keep track of police because the sad truth is that most of the police are involved in crimes as well.

This will require investment and training of the personnel. Its a good idea though.
