The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the passing of 21st Amendment Bill unanimously from Senate and National Assembly was the victory of truth and rightfulness.
Talking to the members of Coordination Committee, Senators, MNAs, MPAs, and MQM office-bearers of central departments at Nine-Zero, Azizabad, MQM Chief said that the rightful struggle ended with success. He said that Allah granted the entire nation triumph over vice.
Mr. Hussain said that the people ridiculed him over raising the voice against Taliban and terrorism but MQM kept opposing the menace. He said that he not only fought against the terrorism but also the hypocrite elements of the country, who opposed him to protect their vested interests.
He felicitated members Coordination Committee, Senators, MNAs, MPAs, office-bearers of central departments, Zones, Sectors, Units, MQM workers and supporters over the passing of 21st Amendment Bill. He said his workers and supporters participated in the struggle and faced the negativity of the opponents but showed patience to them.
Mr. Hussain said that the constitutional amendment against miscreants spreading sectarianism and hatred, was a big issue. He said that it was only possible because of the unity and consistency of the nation. He said that now the voices against the struggle of rightfulness became silent in the country.
He urged MQM workers to work more actively and continue the struggle of truthfulness. He directed them to act for the welfare of the people and treat them with politeness and should try to resolve their issues. He said that their politeness would melt the hearts of the people and one-day MQM would be spread all over the country and would end the obsolete feudal system.

MQM should continue to raise voice for separate province. They have clear and huge support in Karachi and due to big population, MQM deserves separate province so that they work for betterment of people and rule Karachi independently and utilize maximum funds. I appreciate MQM for raising voice against jagidaar and wadaira system from first day and their clear stance against Taliban is appreciable. No ambiguity in minds. Clear vision !!

MQM, Pakistan’s most vocal anti-extremism party’s struggle was rewarded today when an amendment relating to the elimination of terrorism in the country in the wake of the deadly Peshawar attack was incorporated into the country’s constitution.

Mr. Altaf Hussain Chief of MQM, who played a significant role in drafting the Bill, said: “With an overwhelming majority, The Parliament of Pakistan has now adopted the 21st Amendment Bill 2015. Military courts have been given the right to try the Taliban terrorists or any other person or group claiming to or known to be a part of a religious or sectarian organisation waging war against Pakistan."

This is the first time that the whole political leadership of Pakistan has spoken as one against the Taliban, with the notable exceptions of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F).

Speaking on the floor of the house, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif thanked Mr. Altaf Hussain and MQM. The party has pursued an unequivocal stance against the Taliban and their atrocities since 2001. Four Lawmakers of MQM and scores of workers and supporters have been killed in attacks by Taliban due to the party's clear and bold stance against the Talibanisation of the country. Mr. Altaf Hussain was also the first and so far the only Pakistani statesman to raise the increasing threat of IS in Pakistan.
