Supreme Court resumed hearing of missing persons case in Islamabad today.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Supreme Court (SC) has rejected Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s statement over missing persons on Friday.

During the hearing, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif submitted details over missing persons in court.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case pertaining to missing persons.

According to details, Khawaja Asif said that not even a single missing person was under the custody of army, adding that there were different categories. Missing persons were detained in internment centers, he added.

The Chief Justice questioned if he could provide details of all missing persons and the interment centres in which they were detained.

Mr Asif said two persons out of 35 died in custody due to natural causes while two were in internment centre. Eight undeclared detainees were in Afghanistan while three were residing in North Waziristan.

Seven others could be produced before the court but they cannot be categorized as missing persons, he added.

The Chief Justice inquired about the source of all details from Khawaja Asif.

The hearing is still underway in Islamabad.

ISI is really playing games with Supreme Court both have some points what needed to be done is Army should ask government to make laws either that they can keep these people for long times and also make special courts and special conditions to start their trials or make laws which allow Military to trial them in their own courts
