As far as I remember Khulna Shipyard is building 5 units of Fast Attack Missile Craft with technical collaboration from the Chinese experts. 2 or 3 of the same class will be procured directly from China, in addition. No country can match Chinese contributions to the buildingup of the military of Bangladesh. US is just a season flower that will fly away at some opportune time. But, China will remain near our border and with our military buildup. We need USA, but certainly not at the expense of China.

Major Shaheb will clear everything, I guess. But, from the very beginning of the project I have been hearing BN is building five Fast Attack Missile Crafts in Khulna with China collaboration. However, it is also possible that in addition a few patrol crafts are also being built in Khulna.

Actually they are building patrol boats there not fast attack crafts. It may be the other way around we are building patrol boats right now and in addition we might build some FACs in the future. Lets wait for major to clear the confusion here first

Planning Minister AK Khandakar, said while responding to a question from lawmaker Asma Jerin Jhumu.
He said two warships and one survey-ship have been brought for the Bangladesh Navy. He said the navy ships have been equipped with shoulder launched surface to air missiles.
Two helicopters have been procured and two large patrol craft, two maritime patrol aircraft, five patrol craft and one oil tanker were being constructed for the navy. Two corvettes will be added to the navy and process of buying two off the shelf frigates has initiated.

I am not saying the Khulna class is a FACM but BN is saying it can be an option...
