I find it funny that those who get French to design their air craft , Americans to provide them engines and ejection seats , Israelis to provide weapons and avionics and yet call it the " Indigenous TEJAS"

Its not about the foreign components they are using, its a package suits them and meets their requirement.
even SAAB gripen is made up of mostly foreign components, and the design of jf-17 is based on an abandoned Mig-33 project, and is flying with Russian rd-93 engine.
