i dont know about indian but for the US good food for the navy is general a priority especially on subs as in the cold world and today they would be away for months at a time and the people in charge use good food to keep moral up

I once a naval officer(surface fleet). He told me that among the three services our navy has the best food.They choose the menu themselves and every menu has some sort of meat in it( chicken mostly). He said that the cooks on the ships become chefs in five star hotels after retirement.
