Opposition leader Khaleda Zia invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to an iftar party to be hosted by BNP on August 4, in a gesture of political nicety transcending the tensions between the two rival camps.

Abdul Latif Johnny, assistant office secretary of BNP, carried an invitation card and handed to his ruling-party counterpart--Awami League assistant office secretary Mrinal Kanti Das.:tup::tdown:

Nice, sadly the jealous one
shall not tread in.

Must you be negative minded all the time?

In the Holy Month, one is supposed to be optimistic and banish evil thoughts including masochist orgasm.

Friendship founded on business is better than a business founded on friendship.

Does it matter? They fight throughout the whole year, 24/7.

I wonder how they talk to each other during the party since they are always fighting:what:.

The Holy month and it is intended to teach Muslims about patience, humility, and spirituality.

The Quran (2:185) states that it was in the month of Ramadan that the Quran was revealed. Therefore, should all Muslims not take it to be a month where one gets spiritual and understand the meaning of Existence and not squabble?

Those that turn to Allah in repentance;
that serve Him, and praise Him;
that wander in devotion to His cause (al-sa'ihun);
that bow down and prostrate themselves in prayer;
that enjoin good and forbid evil;
and observe the limits set by Allah --
these do rejoice!
So proclaim the glad tidings to the believers. (9:112)

it is a calculative risk taken by Khaleda Zia.. She invited Hasina just to convince the nation... She doesnt really want Hasina to come.... If Hasina refuses to come... Hasina will lose more popularity..... It is a glorious opportunity to Hasina... If she attends at least she will get some claps...

Read the extract from the Quaran I appended.

Please follow it........ at least during the Holy Month!

I append it once again for your perusal and consideration.

One is a Muslim if one follows the religious injunctions and not by merely stating one is so.

One has to be a bit better than being just a human during the Holy Month. He is to be nearer to God! I know it is difficult, but one must not give up!

Thanks, same to you, Hasina tells Khaleda

Dhaka, July 27 (bdnews24.com) – A day after receiving an Iftar invitation from the opposite side, Wednesday saw the prime minister extending one to the BNP chairperson.

Awami League's deputy office secretary Mrinal Kanti Das carried the letter to Khaleda Zia's Gulshan residence around 9pm on Wednesday, BNP deputy office secretary Shamimur Rahman Shamim told bdnews24.com.

An Iftar party, to be held at Ganabhaban on Aug 6, is being thrown by Khaleda in the honour of politicians.

A delegation of the main opposition on Tuesday conveyed Khaleda's invitation to Hasina and general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam.

The two arch rivals last shared a table on Sept 10, 2009 at the Iftar party organised by the Armed Forces Division in Dhaka Cantonment.

Awami League did not attend the Iftar party of the opposition chief on August 17 last year.

I hope our prime minister will go to that iftar party. And if she goes there they will sit together after a long time.
