JF-17 (2P29) is currently in Pakistan Aeronautical Complex. They have currently removed the In-flight refueling probe. The probe can easily be installed within minutes. This aircraft is a further improvement to the Block-2 with superior load carryong capability, increased weapon stations, new avionics, and material changes.

Before the drool fest commence, lemme seize the opportunity to say "This is something that Pakistan doesn't like or want, but has to compromise, because at least it's something"---Oscar(Defence.pk)

it looks like 228 than 229
and wheres the refueling arm?
Here it is....

New images of an FC-1 at the CAC airfield with port number 229 show the first employment of an apparently Chinese-designed aerial refuelling probe: an important feature of the JF-17 Block II version. The probe features a streamlined tube, is located below the aircraft's cockpit canopy frame and may be detachable.

Congratulations. This is how rest of the birds are going to look like.

On the side note, production number is written is a bad font. From an angle, it looked 228 instead of 229.

increased weapons station where ?

superior load carrying capability, increased weapon stations o_Oo_O

So what is the Load Capacity of JF-17 is now?
and where did they add new Weapon stations? on the Wings or under the Belly??

My guess is number of stations are same but the hard points strengthened for more load. They were rumored to be working on Dual racks for BVR in Block-2. Wing drop tanks seem to look larger than usual.

The wingroots have been strengthened which now gives the JF-17 the capability to carry a Mk 84 under each wing, something until now only the F-16 was able to carry under it's wings.

229 comes with the IFR probe for now and that is it. The wing roots extensions to enable the wing stations to carry more load is something that is not a first in 229, it is already being done and seen. So any talks of more hard points and any further increase in weight carrying capacity is misleading. The IFR probe is what was promised from 229 onward and that have been delieverd. rest of the birds will also get IFR probes later.

Congratulations
