1. Type 10 MBT

The Type 10 TK-X (MBT-X) project aims to build a new main battle tank to replace the existing Type 74 main battle tanks currently in service with the Japan Ground Self Defense Force. This tank will be deployed to the narrower and more mountainous regions of the country. The design emphased C4I capabilities as well as increasing performance, firepower, defense and mobility. The Type 10 has sloped turret armor similar to the Leopard 2A5, as well as a side profile similar to the Leclerc. The use of modular components, thereby significantly improving the side armor in comparison to the Type 90. The vehicle's armor can be reconfigured depending on the needs. Without additional armor plating, the vehicle weighs about 40 tons, while weighing about 48 tons with all of the add-on armor.

A day & night 360 degree sight is also mounted on the turret, which can be integrated with the "new Basic Regimental Command & Control System". Compared to the Type 90, the Commander's Panoramic Sight has been moved to the right and is located at a higher position, giving the commander a wide field of view.

The vehicle is armed with the 120-mm L44 smoothbore cannon, built by Japan Steel Works, Ltd. This company also license-produces the Rheinmetall 120-mm / L44 gun for the Type 90 MBT. There is an option for L55 or a new barrel 50 caliber in length. The TK-X main battle tank fires a newly developed armor-piercing ammunition. It is compatible with all standard 120-mm NATO ammunition. Secondary armament consists of coaxially mounted 7.62-mm machine gun and a roof mounted remotely controlled 12.7-mm machine gun. It uses an autoloader, with a crew of three (Commander and gunner in the turret, driver in the hull). It uses Continuously Variable Transmission, and is equipped with active hydropneumatic suspension, which allows it to adjust its stance. The tank can "sit", "stand", "kneel" or to "lean" in any direction. This feature gives a number of advantages.

Weight 44 tons
Length (gun forward) 9.42 m
Width 3.24 m
Height Approx. 2.3 m
Crew 3
Main gun 120-mm smoothbore
Machine guns 1 x 12.7-mm, 1 x 7.62-mm
Elevation range
Traverse range 360 degrees
Engine diesel, water-cooled, four-cycle, eight-cylinder
Engine power 1200 hp /2300rpm
Maximum road speed 70 km/h
Unit cost 700 million Japanese Yen

This is a beauty Saudis should test this @al-Hasani @Gasoline @Mosamania

It's looks durable .

I hope I can see it with KSA's flag .

Especially because it's Japanese made no need for thinking .:cheesy:

If you like driving the Toyota Land Cruiser or the Lexus LX570 in the sands of Saudi Arabia, then you will love the Type 10 MBT. It is as luxurious and comfortable as a Land Cruiser or LX570...in the Tank Context, of course. ;)

Kawasaki XC-2 is an advanced military transport aircraft designed and being manufactured by Japan-based Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI). The aircraft is suitable for military as well as commercial transport. It is being built to meet the requirements of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF).

The XC-2 is derived from the Kawasaki C-1 transport aircraft. Approximately 40 XC-2s are scheduled to be manufactured initially.

Kawasaki has built two prototypes of the XC-2. The maiden flight of the first prototype took place at Kakamigahara in Gifu Prefecture in January 2010. The prototype was delivered to the JASDF in March 2010.

The second prototype completed its maiden flight in January 2011. It was delivered to the JASDF in March 2011.

The aircraft can transport troops, drop supplies and undertake medical evacuation during the day and night, even in hostile environments.

Design and avionics of the advanced military transport aircraft
The XC-2 has been designed to take-off and land on unprepared airstrips or short runways such as grass, snow and mud. The 43.9m long, 44.4m wide and 14.2m high XC-2 features a high wing monoplane design.

"Kawasaki has built two prototypes of the XC-2. The maiden flight of the first prototype took place at Kakamigahara in Gifu Prefecture in January 2010."
The aircraft has a glassed-in nose, a pressurised flight deck, cargo hold and a rear loading ramp, which can open in-flight.

The aircraft has cockpit panel and windows, a horizontal stabiliser, an auxiliary power unitand anti-collision light and gear control unit.

The tricycle type landing gear includes low pressure tyres and disc brakes. The aircraft can carry 20 A-22 containers or eight 463L pallets in its cargo compartment.

Integration of advanced technologies provides the XC-2 with faster and superior cruise, greater flight range, heavier payload and spacious cargo compartments, compared to the C-1 aircraft.

The avionics suite installed in the XC-2 includes tactical flight management system, in-flight refuelling facility and night vision system. The aircraft is also equipped with an automatic loading and unloading system for handling cargo.

Turbofan engines and performance of Kawasaki Heavy Industries's XC-2

The XC-2 is powered by two GE CF6-80C2K1F engines designed and manufactured by General Electric Aviation. Each engine can produce a maximum of 266kN thrust.

It is equipped with a single fan, four-stage low pressure and 14-stage high pressure axial compressor, five-stage low pressure turbine, dual stage high pressure turbine and annular combustor.

The engine is 4.26m long and 2.69m in diameter. The dry weight of the engine varies between 4,300kg and 4,472kg.

The XC-2 can fly at a maximum speed of 890km/h. The maximum and ferry ranges of the aircraft are 6,500km and 10,000km respectively. The service ceiling is 12,200m.

Can the Type 74 MBT be armed in the same manner as the BTR-T (25mm/30mm Autocannon and possibly Type 01 LMATs) instead of a 105mm tank gun? If yes, we should look at it as no one wants MBT in the Philippines.
