Salam all fellows,
After hearing/reading!
Think adout it .. we have t-37 and k-8 there single jet engines trainers intended for f16 mirage and f7,
why would we need double engine trainers (L-15)? Answer: J-11Bs
This is the advanced multirole version which uses more Chinese components, including radar, engine, and missiles. The chief program engineer for J-11B is Mr. Guo Dianman. China is interested in reducing its reliance on foreign technology for both cost reasons and a desire to improve its domestic research and design. It is reported that one regiment of J-11Bs are currently in service, but this seems to contradict with the latest information provided by the Chinese government: In May, 2007, the existence of J-11B was finally acknowledged by the Chinese government for the first time when the state-run Chinese TV stations first aired the report on J-11B in PLAAF service. However, the official Chinese report claims that there are only two squadrons of J-11Bs in service, instead of a regiment, which is consisted of three squadrons (as of end of 2007).

Are we getting these with TOT ? :china::pakistan:

maybe for j-10B because j-10 also be a very latest technology

Dual engine trainers have nothing to do with the dual engine aircraft.

What matters is what is inside the trainers. L-15 is more advanced, hence PAF opted for those.

PAF will not got to J11 B untill new engine incorporated. Russia will not allow China to sell them coa of Engine...............and India would create pressure on Russia

SU-30 MKI:- Engine Lyulka AL-31FP turbofans
SU-30 MKK:- Engine Lyulka AL-31F turbofans
J-11:- Engine Lyulka AL-31F turbofan.
J-10:- Engine Lyulka AL-31FN

Nither we will get J-10B easily untill the WS-10 satisifes China n Pakistan

L-15 may also work for light misssions and close support.

Is that even been finalized that it is going to be a L-15 ?? It can be the K-8s also.

And if they are L-15s, it would most probably be a sale pitch. Give 4 for free, let the PAF have a feel of these planes and may be they plan for a future purchase after liking the plane.

If PAF buys them, it will give a lot of credibility to the L-15 and foreign customers would then may be opt for it.

China & Ukraine are working to power it turbofan engines with afterburner.
It has digital quadruple fly-by-wire (FBW), glass cockpit (two multi-color head down displays for both the front and rear cockpit, and an additional head-up display for the front cockpit), and hands-on-throttle-and-stick (HOTAS) flight control.

The aerodynamic performance of the aircraft is enhanced by its large leading edge extensions (LEX) design, which gives a maximum angle of attack of 30°. This is very useful when trying to simulate the maneuvers of advanced fourth-generation fighters such as J-10 and J-11.

The aircraft also has six (four under-wing and two wingtip) pylons to carry various air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons. If necessary, it can serve in the lightweight attack role with minor modifications, carrying up to 3 tons (3000 KG) of armament. Fanton Q-5 takes 2000 KG armament

But the engine is undr evaluation...........it will take 1 and half year to become operational.

If PAK leave 150 J-10B n buy 100 J-11B then it will bring double power in PAF.

or PAF can go for 50 J-10B and 50 J-11B

J-11B will be the only fighter against Indian MKI and MMRCA fighter.

personally i think jf-17 with heavy upgrade will be comparable to J-10B..

while j-11B is totally different with high payload, range,

thanks finally you brought out the most important part about J-11 i kept on telling its not for sale...

now the interesting part there is no question of pressure on russia by india because the official document of the russian-china aggrement states that under no condition will the airctaft or any of its components be exported or used in land outside that of chinas except incase of war failing which the contact will stand cancelled..........

sukhoi has this agreement with india too on many cases......

guys J-11 is a su27 derivative copy until and unless a proper engine comes in there is no chance for pak to even get their hands on them ....
