The Global Banking giants are already planning another crisis to sink Oil price, like they did in 2008 with Lehman brothers. Weak oil price means weak Russia. I think a huge economical Crisis will follow in 2014. Putin will lose a lot of Popularity when Russian soldiers start to die in a ukranian civil war. Today the Nazi Gangs of Kiev are restructuring themselfs. They get 500 million dollar from western banks to form a Paramilitary force for Guerilla attacks against Russian Forces in Crimea and against East Ukranian Russian citizens.

Events in Ukraine and Western sanctions against Russia - an excellent opportunity for Putin to end with the liberal fifth column . West itself pulls out the hook , on which kept some of the Russian elite . Russia has never been part of the West, and never will be. West is too small for Russia to become a part of it - rather the West will become part of Russia .
While US becomes weaker - Russia becomes stronger. This became particularly clear in recent times , when the tone of Western media became hysterical . Hysterics - a sign of weakness . After a while first the leaders of Eastern Europe, and then of Western will become loyal to Russia. In an extreme case - there will appear new , pro-Russian leaders . Europe has always looked at Russia with envy and fear. and because of these entrenched feelings have been trying to take away the resources and subjugate the people of Russia.
Most of continental European powers have at one point or another tried to conquer Russia. Every time they have managed to get enough men and material they have attacked Russia.
Whenever Russia let its guard down, it has suffered great losses. We don't have to look too far. The West was telling us that the cold war was ideological and if Russia stopped being Communist there will be no conflict. Gorbachev even got reassurance from American leaders that NATO will not be enlarged, and the animosity towards Russia will end with the collapse of the so called Iron curtain. Do I need to remind you what happened when the SU unilaterally surrendered.

China has more investment in foreign countries, and has received more foreign investment, than Russia. The economic and trade relationships between the US/EU and PRC are incomparably closer than those between Russia and the US/EU.

Well, unless the Russians are planning an unannounced offensive, the lack of a reciprocating rebalance of materiel deployment from the other side suggests that the Russians are not really a threat in this case.
