SWABI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan on Sunday said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor will change the fate of Pakistan.

The PTI chief was addressing a rally in Swabi, where he said that his party does not have anything against China but with the federal government.

He said that the federal government should make the CPEC contract public, adding that Nawaz Sharif had promised that western route would be made first in the project.

Every province should get its rights, he added.

Imran Khan heavily criticsed Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman saying that he is the ‘vice captain of Nawaz’s corruption team’.

“For God’s sake don’t use Maulana with your name,” he said in an apparent message to the JUI-F chief.

Imran lambasted the prime minister saying “appointment of an independent chairman NAB would be destructive for Nawaz Sharif.”

Although the PTI chief lauded interior minister Chaudhry Nisar’s statement regarding appointment of Chairman NAB, saying Nisar stated what he had suggested earlier.

Earlier on Saturday Chaudhry Nisar Ali had cast his doubts over accountability in the country given the appointment of the NAB chief by the government and opposition.

"The process of accountability can be transparent only if the judiciary appoints NAB chief," the minister had said.

I don't think anyone in Pakistan is against China for CPEC.

Except PTI. PTI has political members who are pro-Afghanistan at the expense of Pakistan and especially chairman that has maintained anti-development of Khaala baag dam in the history of Pakistan politics.

It is not coincident with sabotaging China's trip to Pakistan two years ago, although that didn't stop China from collaborating with Pakistan later. That being said, PTI agenda was exposed from the moment CPEC and Zarb-e-Azb started rolling in.

No objection if KBD doesn’t submerge KP cities: Khattak

LAHORE - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak said, “I have no objection over the construction of Kalabagh Dam unless experts convince me that the proposed dam will not submerge two cities of KP.

Khattak expressed these views while addressing a news conference here on Sunday. He said that result-oriented talks with Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan could be made possible only with the inclusion of local tribes in the dialogue process. He claimed that real change has taken place in KP as the PTI-led government has transformed its election promises into reality.

Khattak said that all the KP ministers have completely abandoned the VIP culture, as none of them move under protocol despite huge security risk. The KP ministers follow the traffic rules like any other citizens of the province, he said adding the KP Assembly passed a large numbers of laws which included the innovative right to information and conflict of interest laws that makes the government really accountable to the public. He said KPK government in the short span of 10 months has provided free medicines facility at public hospitals and created a special fund for the disable and handicapped people.

Khattak said that the police reforms in KP are an example, as the IG Police could make the chief minister accountable. He said that the KP government would soon introduce Ehtisab Bill, which would be different to that of NAB as it would not be influenced by the chief executive.

On the occasion, KP Education Minister Atif Khan said the PTI believed that education was the only way out and the KP government would establish 28,000 schools under Tamer-e-School Programme.

He said that independent monitoring units were being established to check the quality of education at schools. He said that teachers were being hired entirely on the merit through the NTS national testing service. He said that a single curriculum was being made for the schools of the province, while free uniforms and textbooks have already been distributed among the students of the public sector schools.

Health and IT Minister Shahram Tarakai said that the PTI-led government introduced revolutionary health reforms under Sehat Ka Insaf Programme, which has made Peshawar a polio-free zone in the first phase of the drive.

Information Minister Shah Farman said that KP has set an example by utilising this department’s funds for the public welfare instead of promotion of the ministers through advertisement.

If we were to go with his words, you would get conflicting report; contradicting his own statements. I have posted those direct statement before in one of the threads earlier.

Mangla Dam didn't come into the picture by nothing. It came with the heavy price, and right now, that is the only dam carrying Pakistan in some margins even though that dam belongs to Azad Kashmir who have been largely ignored for the sake of Pakistan.

Dam requires allocated lands to compensate for the bigger picture ahead. Reality is that most pro-Indian and pro-Afghanistan happen to be PTI political party don't want Khalabag dam because that would mean no more water crisis. Chairman of PTI had Imran Khan apologize for the discussion about Khala Baag dam and never brought that topic again.

India needs Pakistan to have water crisis. Not coincident why there is dam being built in IOK to restrict the flow of water to Pakistan, and dam in Afghanistan personally invested by India would mean Pakistan would be at the mercy of Afghanistan which would mean compromise of foreign policy of Pakistan towards Afghanistan.

Having Khala baag dam would have solved all the problems in Pakistan, but those who opposed Khala baag dam contruction came up genuine excuse to get away while ended the chapter of Khaala baag dam once and for all. That was the big loss of Pakistan and still is.

To say the chairman has no objection except that he has already objected the construction.
