Islam didn't enter the present day subcontinent via Sindh (Mohammad bin Qasim) correcting history.

Islam entered Sub continent through sea route, its first contact was made with Kerala !

- Wrong History taught in schools
Sindh was not the first gateway of Muslim conquests into present day Pakistan and M Bin Qasim was not its trailblazer.

In 644 AD Caliph Umar r.a dispatched an army under the command of Hakam ibn Amr for the invasion of Makkran what is now a part of pesent-day Pakistan.
By mid-644 the Battle of Rasil was fought between the forces of the Rashidun Caliphate and the Rai Kingdom near Deybal present-day Hinglaj Temple ; the Raja's forces were defeated and forced to retreat to the eastern bank of the Indus.. Umar r.a ordered his forces to consolidate their position on the western bank of the Indus River .It was further decided that Makran should be the easternmost frontier of the Islamic empire and that no further attempt should be made to extend the conquests.

During the reign of Caliph Uthman r.a, Makran broke into revolt. Uthman r.a sent his commander, Ubaidhullah ibn Ma’ mar Tamini, to re-conquer Makran and be its first governor. In 650 AD, the army under his command conquered it after a series of skirmishes. In 654 AD Abdurehman bin Samarah r.a (a sahabi ) was sent to Zaranj (present day south east Afghanistan)as governor of seestan/makran.By the time Uthman r.a reign ended most of the present day Baluchistan upto wahsistan( present day Quetta) and Kabul was being governed by Abdurehman bin samrah r.a. except Turan (pesent-day kalat/khuzdar) .

Which was conquered under Ali r.a.in 663 AD . Khuzdar/Kalat was conquered by Haris ibn Marah Abdi from local hindu shahi tribes.

It was only in 711 AD during Ummayad times Muhammad bin Qasim entered Sindh through Makran .Qassim raised forces, at Fannazbur(Panjgur) and Arman Belah (Lasbela) before conquering Debal (Karachi west). He made Mansurah his Garrison city and further went north upto Multan and then to Jehlum.

The Present day KPK and Central Punjab was only conquered later by Muslims in 1004 AD and 1008 AD respectively when Mahmud Ghaznavi (Abbasid) fought battle of Peshawar upon crossing Khyber Pass against Kabul Shahi Hindu tribes .

Most of the commanders above other than Ghanznavi were from the land of sham Thats how Baluch relate themselves to Syrians and call themselves children of Sham.View attachment 368979

Sir the Mosque you are talking about is a unique case and cannot be confirmed the exact year of build... anyway... It was supposedly built by passing merchants and was not an act of Muslim state back then...

The point he raised is that the common perception of Muslims in the subcontinent is that Islam first entered the subcontinent to establish State by the forces of Muhammad Bin Qasim which is not true as parts of Balochistan had been captured by Muslim forces during the lifetime of companions of the Prophet. Whether the Mosque was built in Kerela before or after is a different matter but people in parts of Balochistan had already converted to Islam before the invasion of Sindh or any part of India

For example this battle took place during the time of 2nd Caliph

The Cheraman Juma Masjid (Malayalam:ചേരമാൻ പള്ളി) is a mosque in Methala, Kodungallur Taluk, Thrissur District in the Indian state of Kerala. Built in 629 AD, it is the first mosque in India. It was built by Malik Deenar, an Arab propagator of Islam and a follower and contemporary of Islamic Prophet Muhammad.

Prophet Mohammed died in the year 632 AD. At that time the blue region is under the influence of Islam.

Sir I know this very well.. You didn't read my edited post for further clarification.

If you have plenty of money and doing business in Iceland. You see there are few Hindu traders coming to Iceland for business so you decide to convert your house into temple and move on with your business assuming local community of say 50 people can pray if they feel the need to attend temple.

After 200 years India invades Iceland and establish Hinduism as State Religion, you have massive following of Hinduism in Iceland and 80% converts to Hinduism

Would you say Hinduism established in Iceland when you as an Individual built a Temple somewhere in the alien city or when Iceland declared herself as Hindu state?

The Mosque in Kerela was the need of Muslim traders but no conquest by the Muslim state had been made at that part of the region before the parts of present day Balochistan were captured.

Islam technically entered in this subcontinent upon successful invasions on Sassanid empire and parts of Balochistan were part of Sassanid empire. So it is talking about the misconception of Muslims that the conquest was made by Muhammad Bin Qasim which is not the first conquest in present day Pakistan as we tend to forget the region of Balochistan that was already under Muslim rule with Muslim population captured from Sassanid empire

In another words the conquest of Muhammad bin Qasim may have been the first in Indian subcontinent but not in the present day map of Indian Subcontinent/Pakistan as parts of Balochistan were part of Sassanid empire back then and were already being government by Muslim generals

Faith enters a region not through swords but by conquering hearts.

What you are talking about is political power and conversions that took place afterwards. Islam came to Kerala through Islamic scholars who were accompanying with Traders.

When mentioning the date and region, Kerala should get the prominence. Long before Makkah and Medina people thought about Balouchistan, they know about the importance of South India, its spices and riches.

Sir as I said

Individuals may have established a mosque but the Original Poster is talking about Islam entering to establish State. There is very famous companion of Prophet buried in China, there is his shrine and possibly the Mosque around it. He fought many wars for the sake of Islam and died in China while preaching Islam. But when we say whether Islam entered in Indian subcontinent first or China, it is obvious that Muslim forces lead by the companions of Sahabas were marched towards Persian/Sassanid/Present day Iran and Iraq before entering any other region as that was the nearest to present day Arab world

If Individuals or travellers may have visited China before the Muslim forces captured Iran. That is different aspect of the subject but the OP is pointing towards Muslim invasions to extend the borders of Islamic world at that time, not an act of individuals who may have been preaching within their limited abilities

Like we categarise different kind of products, I would say

1) Muslim traders first landed in Indian subcontinent by sea route to Kerela. Every Muslim at that time was preaching Islam so they did individual attempts to convert people within their limited capacity. That is not even the subject of this thread.

2) The first invasion by land ocurred during the time of second caliph when parts of Balochistan were captured by the forces of Umar R.A. that was supposedly being governed by the people of Persia and had less to do with Indian subcontinent at that time

3) The first invasion by sea took place during the time of Muhammad bin Qasim who really challenged the first ruler of the Indian subcontinent

Caste system was something similar.
Sanatana Dharma of Vedic times didn't even mention caste.

Well it is part of dharma sharma now. Sects cannot be compared to caste that exist in your religion or whatever it is that you guys follow.

Caste is not even an Indian word.
We have Jati and Varna system.

As far as I'm concerned sects and castes (as you call it) are nothing but divisions. Both have achieved nothing.

Obviously they are divisions. But there is a huge difference between the both.
