Battle of Nagi Sand Dune : A little known battle, fought after a massive victory on 16 Dec 1971 and a Saga of befitting reply to a well entrenched Enemy.

Nagi is a small village on a sand dune along our western borders in Rajasthan. Pakistan Army after a humiliating defeat on 16 Dec 71, occupied the Nagi sand dune, the location was well fortified with massive support of Artillery and Armour.

After careful planning and analysis, on 26 Dec 71, 4 Para was tasked to clear the enemy from Nagi. The determined soldiers fought valiantly to force Pakistani soldiers to retreat leaving behind huge quantity of Arms and Ammunition.

On 28 Dec, Indian Flag stood high on Nagi.
