NEW DELHI: Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar blamed Pakistan for an attack on Indian paramilitary soldiers in Pampore town of Indian-held Kashmir, ICNN News 18 reported on Sunday.

Parrikar termed the attack, which killed eight members of India’s Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), "an act of frustration by Pakistan".

“During the past year, we have eliminated over 25 terrorist from Pakistan who had infiltrated into our country. It was an act of frustration,” Parrikar said.

Indian-held Kashmir's Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, in her condemnation message after the attack, said the people of Kashmir were the "worst sufferers" of such acts as the attacks deprive them of development and employment.

Four militants attacked a convoy carrying members of India’s Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) near Pampore town of Indian-held Kashmir, killing eight soldiers and wounding 20 more.

Earlier this month, Parrikar had said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had opened a window of goodwill and dialogue with Pakistan, which was closing as doubts remained about Pakistan's sincerity in tackling terrorism.

The statement was reciprocated by Pakistan's foreign policy chief Sartaj Aziz, who stated India never opened such a window for talks as the development in this regard was sabotaged when the talks between the two countries were postponed after the Pathankot attack.

Director General of India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) Sharad Kumar had also stated that there is no evidence of Pakistan government's involvement in the attack on Indian Air Force base in Pathankot.

Attack and its aftermath
The Pathankot air base attack occurred just days after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a 'surprise' visit to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on his birthday and the occasion of his granddaughter's wedding ─ a move that appeared to promise better relations between the neighbouring countries in the coming year.

After Modi's visit, the Pakistani and Indian foreign secretaries were scheduled to meet to discuss modalities regarding the Comprehensive Bilateral Dialogue agreed upon during Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj's visit to Islamabad for the Heart of Asia conference in December.

The dialogue was to take on matters related to peace and security, Jammu and Kashmir, Siachen, Sir Creek, Wullar Barrage, Tulbul Navigation Project, economic and commercial cooperation, counter-terrorism, narcotics control and humanitarian issues, people to people exchanges and religious tourism.

A five-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing the Pathankot air base attack arrived in New Delhi in March, with Indian media reports claiming Lt-Col Tanvir Ahmed was the first ISI officer to visit an Indian military facility with official permission.

The Indian defence minister claimed before the team reached India that the militants could not have carried out the attack without Islamabad's support.

Pakistan, taking positive steps to build confidence with its nuclear neighbour, cracked down on Jaish-i-Muhammad and took the group's leader Masood Azhar into protective custody.

A later move by India to ban Jaish-i-Muhammad chief Masood Azhar at the United Nations (UN) was blocked by China.

The UN banned Jaish in 2001 but India’s efforts to get restrictions imposed on Azhar after the Mumbai attacks did not bear fruit because China did not allow them to be imposed.

There is no point proving. That exercise will lead nowhere as seen in past instances. Let's get real we all know what's happening. What is needed is go with what you know and act accordingly.

Please provide evidence to back up your claims.
Every single time a terrorist attack happens here we avoid naming any agencies due to the missing amount of evidence or at least at the time you guys are stupid on the other hand.
If anything happens in India it was automatically Pakistan. Those freedom fighters they will never stop.
Instead of Trying to blame Pakistan. Hold a plebiscite in Kashmir and let the people decide (the ones that have been living there from the start not the ones you moved in [ yes we know ] )

When India says Pakistan is not responsible for attack in Kashmir, then the news is worthy of posting. This is nothing new.

Why moan and cry? These attacks are launched against the illegal Indian occupation of J&K in continued violation of UN resolutions. You need to address the cause if you want to avoid its effects. Talking about terrorism, Indians shouldn't forget their terrorist monkey that was in Pakistan on official mission to run a huge terrorist network having its tentacles spread in Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. That IN Commander Monkey was able to kill scores of innocent Pakistanis in schools, mosques, playgrounds, markets, buses, trains, and offices. Indian defense minister, the Terrorist Mastermind, Manohar Parrikar needs to have some shame while accusing others of terrorism. But these idiot Indians are utterly shameless and disgraced bigots. Illegally occupying others' lands, running terrorists networks, and killing scores of people in other countries (Sri Lanka and Pakistan being the prime targets) are absolutely disgraceful acts of terrorism. A disgraced terrorist mastermind like Manohar Parrikar talking against terrorism looks real ugly.

Really? Poor India i feel sorrow for it :D

Why don't they provide us proof like we provide RAW involvement proofs to UN? like we caught Kalbhusan Yadhev red handed

Did india provide their Passports like usually they did right away... how about send Geo to find their home in remote villages to make their case strong ..so u can cry out loud on world forum
anyone can tell who is frustrated when they have 700+thousands soldiers alone in one state of occupied Kashmir..
They will realize hard way that its indignous moment.. Kashmiries dont want to be with india.. 70 years of seperation its time to divorce. :)

Light Personal Computer? so basically you are referring to a laptop ? But I wonder what it has to do the thread..perhaps you are suggesting that Indian govt should use a computer instead of a brainless defence minister who is a constant source of embarassment for India since he is clearly admitting the failure of India in Kashmir and strenghening of the Kashmiri freedom struggle.
But we should get used to it since I predict a lot more such idiotic statement coming from India on daily basis as Kashmiri Mujhahideen accelerate the elimination of the terrorist occupation army. Bring it on India...no worries!!
