And people thought India was spending more than it could afford:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Still all of us( i.e., India, Pakistan and China) need to reduce our dependence on imports...

Well, they are currently fighting a war...

2.33% of GDP is bad for the economy though. Hopefully the war can wind down soon - economic development really cannot occur without peace.

These are just figures of arms import, not military expenditure in total. Yet they love making fun of India regarding arms import.

True, they should not make fun. But its also true that we are fighting a war.

Then there's this Pakistan, China, India trio. Why are they increasing arms, BECAUSE each doesn't trust the other. So they keep on spending more and more all three of them. Pakistan being the poorest of the three has to spend more of GDP to keep up with India and China, somehow if not fully. So the solution for this thing would only be possible in case all reduce their arms together.

LOLL busted good one shardul ...:bounce:

India is for a first time doing right thing by upgrading its arms and weaponry ..... Nation security cannot be ignored at any cost ..

its not a news to be happy about, but to be a regret.

But this remains a fact that india is largest arms importer in the world.

India world's largest recipient of arms, Pakistan no.3

Regarding development of Pakistan it won't happen until people keep on choosing corrupt polititions, the money will go only in their swiss accounts.

but our total purchase is only 0.3 % of gdp and if u check the previous years it is constantly declining. whihc urs is 10 times more and increasing. u guys are ruining ur economic development and prosperity by doing this.

Lemme repeat myself from another thread:

Congratulations India but even bigger congratulations to Pakistan which did it even under severe economic constraints and an economy in tatters. :D

Pakistan has faced far more constraints and troubles than have India, Australia, UAE, Morocco and South Korea combined.

Still Pakistanis have managed to trump China.

As far as poverty in India is concerned, don't worry guys, we'll defeat poverty just like we defeated Polio.

...while a few other countries will keep watching in awe!

need to spent money to make nations living standards better or built weapons our self

Are u like that OR acting as one??????????

F16s, JF17 and frigates for taliban??????????:woot:

Pakistan is a front line state in the WoT and we have a 1600km long border with a hostile neighbour. A porous border with the battlefield of the WoT. I think our expenditure is justified, even if you feel it is not, there are men with much sounder heads in the DoD who think it is. Given the choice between their advice or theirs, it's a no-brainer.............

India's problem free..We have a very noble and peace loving neighbor in Pakistan, the best neighbor one could get.
And then there is China and the maoist problem.
And then our global aspirations.
But hey we still spend within our capacity!I hope the Pakistanis think now on before they target India on arms import..
