Since its most likely state sponsored, HOW CAN YOU EXPECT THE US TO TRUST HUWAIE?!!

Likely does not mean anything. They have to find genuine proof and Huawei is allowing them to do extensive investigations to prove otherwise.

The US's embargo on China includes all military technology (until very very recently), this included technology that could be used in building weapons like fighters. Considering the wide overlap between civ tech and mil tech in advanced fields, it has used as the grounds to deny China the use (either license or import) of crucial technologies needed for a modern economy.

Thanks for the explanation. Yes that could be a concern to the US as well... but so will be if it were the other way around. Imagine a Chinese company owning a patent and US desperately wanting to get hands on it. Wouldn't the Chinese govt be skeptical?

US businesses enjoy far more freedom than what Chinese companies enjoy in the US. The question here is reciprocity.
yeah right, just ask Google.

Huawei is arm extension of PLA, which had worst record with Intelectual property, and more over is "suspected by many as an enabler of Chinese cyber warfare. It is not about Gloablization, Lenovo bought IBM computer business, so there already is substantial investment from China.

What that the US would buy it and copy it? Simple do what the Russians do, find the price/lot order at which they feel it is worth their while to sell, and give that number to China.

The US doesn't deny China tech on profitability basis, it deny China crucial technology (that they would readily export to other western countries) because China's development is a direct threat to its global hegemony. There's not really a nice way to say it.

Surprisingly enough, humans do tend to act on gut feeling when they have a choice. Your government is not exactly transparent and is alleged to be orchestrating several unfair operations to meet their ends. Even when they do bring out proof your government simply denies it. One must also be suspicious of this particular company's almost overnight global growth.

They broke laws. Laws that they knew were there when they entered into business with China. Besides they've begged to be let back after their stock lost 200 points (apparently their shareholders think China is kind of important go figure)

They are letting them do extensive investigations on the company. If they find nothing then they have no basis for their blocking.

A cheerleader dog piling on something that he could care less about just because it's China. Kind of petty eh?

Talk about prejudice and personal attacks..well, anyway..i hope something comes out of this since im actually quite concerned about huawei's influence in the indian telecom market.

Ummm too bad, the elite of your country will have their pocket books in mind when dealing with Huawei.

Google wanted to break Government laws. That was unacceptable.

So were they indicted in court of law? No. Oh, what laws are broken by Google? Strangely, Twitter, facebook, youtube and large swathes of Wikipedia are breaking chinese law.....

They tried to uncensor stuff.

So its pretty much like China wants you to sell its IPs to it, at the price which China thinks is right. If you don't want to sell or or want to sell it at a higher price, it will steal it and reverse engineer it. After having done that, when the Chinese companies aren't allowed access to other countries certain sectors it will also have a sulk about it. This is what I have gathered so far from this thread.
